[Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

"Let's go forward. It isn't three dragonborn that should stop us. We have our own and two Goliath that make the weight. We have waste enough time I think." replies Calisto

"Let's just move on. And someone should tell me what the kobold said, please. I sadly don't speak draconic, or whatever it was."

As you turn the corner, the natural walls of the passage abruptly transition into well-crafted stonework. A rock wall that sealed off the tunnel has been pushed down and now lies scattered on the floor, allowing access to a chamber illuminated by a soft blue glow.

Two ransacked bookshelves lean against the walls of the room. The contents of the shelves have been thrown into a moldering pile on the floor.

An antique desk sits near the middle of the room, surrounded by glowing dwarven runes carved into the floor. Behind the desk is a wooden table covered in alchemical equipment. In the far corner of the room, a humming
arcane portal hovers a few inches above a glowing circle carved into the floor.

As a small clutch of kobolds turn to face you, a pair of brown-scaled dragonborn clad in leather armor carrying longswords and nimbly advances, snarling.

"You...you're the ones that they warned me about. You shall not come in!" the male shouts.

However, the heroes in the back move faster than the rest...

Calisto move forward but stay behind his companions. "Kobold, we told Glaive and the miners we would free your group from the power of the brown dragon and his minions. The dragon have been vanquish. Stay out of this fight, no harm will come to you and you'll be free."

Suddenly, Calisto eyes turns bright red "And for you dragonborns, you have no right to enslave kobolds. We had come here in peace ready to negotiate, but we met an hostile welcome comity. We have defeated the dragon, you are next."

[SBLOCK=OOC]I should be at 29/30 hp, unless I got attack without being aware while talking to the last kobold.

Move: Walk to N4

Standard: Diplomacy check (1d20+12=32) Critical! Try to talk the kobold out of this fight and show we are here to help them. I hope it works. I though trying to negotiate with the dragonborn would fail, but if the one we question was not lying, they might consider to stay away from us.

Minor:Diabolic Transformation => Regeneretion 2, Fire Resistance 11, +2 damage roll, Bloodhunt racial bonus increase to +2.[/SBLOCK]

"Slaves? They ain't slaves, is you kobolds? You free to leave whenever you wants right?" the female hisses, but the kobolds seem like they're wavering, the heavily armored one looks back and forth between the groups.

[sblock=Skill Challenge]
The kobolds appear unsure of how to act when faced with the party's sudden arrival. Caught between desires for freedom and fear of the dragon's underlings, the kobold's loyalty is torn.
