[Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

[sblock=Skill Challenge]
Special: Unconcious PCs
Each PC that is bloodied or reduced to 0 hit points or fewer results in a failure on the challenge as the kobolds lose confidence in the PCs' ability to overcome the thugs.

Special: Injured Dragonborn
Each of the DB that the party bloodies or reduces to 0 or fewer hit points results in a success on the challenge as the kobolds gain confidence in the PCs' ability to overcome the thugs.

It seems the combat is still on. I suggest to attack only the dragonborn and to try to have as less as possible bloodied PC as they are considered failure in that test.[/sblock]

The fight will go on, but the skill challenge may cause the kobolds to join one side or the other. Currently they're on the DB side, being scared of them, but so far Calisto's at least instilled a bit of doubt and the next check will get +2 bonus from Willow's secondary success[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Nejs has to wat until the baddies actions, but here is a question: If a healing power put a character out of bloodied status, does this still count as failure? Or will the kobolds be impressed by our ability to ignore the dragonborn's attacks?[/sblock]

Ghorgor circles the hesitating Kobold.

-''Better not stab Ghorgor in back like other kobold or Ghorgor gets mad! You no like Ghorgor when is mad.'' he warns the kobold that he circled.

[sblock=Actions]Double Move to G13[/sblock]

Much more suspicious of the smaller creatures, J'ryi does not hasten to Ghorgor's side, instead taking a defensive position nearby. Glowering at the other dragonborn, he sneers, "You bunch of cold-skinned cowards are afraid of these chumps? I've wiped greater men than these off the soles of my boots. Pathetic - hope you'll at least have the guts to thank us when we save your miserable hides."

[sblock=Actions]Move: Move to J10. Standard: Total Defense. Trying to incite the kobolds to rebel against their oppressors with an intimidate check. Intimidate: 1d20+8=25[/sblock]

Sorry guys, I haven't posted the bad guys actions yet. Got busy cleaning off my desk (well cleaning up e-mails) before I had to head out last Friday. Tomorrow should be good for me updating the enemies actions [/sblock]

Calisto move forward but stay behind his companions. "Kobold, we told Glaive and the miners we would free your group from the power of the brown dragon and his minions. The dragon have been vanquish. Stay out of this fight, no harm will come to you and you'll be free."

Suddenly, Calisto eyes turns bright red "And for you dragonborns, you have no right to enslave kobolds. We had come here in peace ready to negotiate, but we met an hostile welcome comity. We have defeated the dragon, you are next."

"Slaves? They ain't slaves, is you kobolds? You free to leave whenever you wants right?" the female hisses, but the kobolds seem like they're wavering, the heavily armored one looks back and forth between the groups.

Willow stands back from the group, cautiously watching the surroundings and making note of anything noteworthy.

The dragonborn female hisses at the kobolds "Remember what happened to Ortan, you want the same to happen to you?" and the kobolds stiffen at her words.

They seem somewhat reluctant in their attacks as the sling-wielders begin hurling rocks at the heroes. The rocks bounce off of the platemail of Ghorgor, and just miss J'yri. The heavily armored one stands his ground, brandishing his weapon at the adventurers.

The dragonborn advance cautiously.

A pair of smaller kobolds appear and move to attack J'yri, but their picks fail to get past the dragonborn's shield.

+2 to next primary check.

The kobolds appear unsure of how to act when faced with the party's sudden arrival. Caught between desires for freedom and fear of the dragon's underlings, the kobold's loyalty is torn.

Nejs moves closer to get a better look a the dragonborn, trying to find signs of doubt or weakness to use against them.

Could I use diplomacy next round? Or is there still a penalty for the language barrier?

Fissure steps forward carefully, ignoring the kobold's strikes at him. Standing next to the table, he puts his arms up in a concilatory gesture to the kobolds. He tries to let his posture speak for him, but his gestures aren't exactly helpful. [sblock=OOC]Move 6 squares into the room, taking the OAs as needed.
