[Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

[sblock=OOC]Dragonborn 1 should have been at -2 to attack, if you didn't apply this - he was knocked prone by Takedown Attack, and grabbed, and since he never stood up... Wouldn't have mattered for his first attack, but if you forgot, then Dragon Breath would have missed and I'd still be alive after the slinger's shot (not to mention he shouldn't have been able to shift). Your post is a little confusing because it seems like you may have remembered the penalty halfway through, but it's not clear at all.[/sblock]

Fissure bows to the kobold beside him. I have no quarrel with you. He slips aways as if flowing stone, finding himself beside one of the dragonborn. He strikes out again and again, one of them hitting solidly. At the same time, his skin hardens.[sblock=Actions]Use Open the Gates of Battle to move to E10 to be adjacent to DB; he provokes no attacks from the DS due to the power. Attack DB: Ref 13, 10hp (I'm assuming a miss). Then AP to Cranes Wings: Hit (Fort 14), 17hp with Flurry and no push. Sorry, forgot to post his Immediate Reaction to being knocked prone. Using his Encounter Utility power Hop Up to stand up. [/sblock]

[sblock=DM]You noted my resist 2 in the status, but did you apply it? It looks like Ghorgor was hit for 8 so I hould by substracted 6 hp (40/46)[/sblock]

Ghorgor hustles toward the trio of dragonborns and the psionic powers of his 'powerful mind' insinuate themselves in the hostile pair.

-''Oooh! We having fun here! You try Ghorgor now!''

[sblock=OOC]Figures the first time I use my encounter power it's on someone who gets to almost completely negate its use - I've been having that kind of luck this whole time with J'ryi! Speaking of bad luck - critical failure on a Death save? Fate is mocking me, I swear.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Sorry, I've had my internet back for all of 10 minutes now. Seems I've found myself in the middle of a last-minute move. Hopefully this will be the last one for a while.

Anyway, what about post 460? Did something else happen that I didn't notice after that? Granted, they were some crappy rolls, so I'd gladly take a redo if you're offering... ;)[/sblock]

Calisto feels that it's the time to act. "They won't serve weaklings like both of you!" Calisto send two wave of psychic energy that heavily hit the dragonborns. "Get those two spawns!"

Willow moves into the room and eyes the cluster around the fallen J'ryi. "If you stand with them, you will fall with them," she says. She raises her staff high into the air. Slithergleam lifts his head and flicks his tongue toward the draognborn as the temperature suddenly drops. A strong wind picks up the cold and shoves one of the dragonborn away from J'ryi, making a tighter cluster of enemies for an area caster.

J'ryi lies on the ground, having been knocked out - yet again - by a projectile to the face. An unfortunate amount of blood pours from his muzzle, torn open by a shattered jawbone.

The dragonborn jump, tumble and spin around the heroes, slashing, stabbing and breathing fire. Fissure is burned by the flames, but Ghorgor is unscathed, while J'yri is stabbed again, but he still stubbornly clings to life.

The slingers hurl more stones, two hitting Fissure, but his toughened hide blocks the worst of it.

[sblock=Skill Challenge]

The kobolds appear unsure of how to act when faced with the party's sudden arrival. Caught between desires for freedom and fear of the dragon's underlings, the kobold's loyalty is torn.

Currents Status:
5/6 successes; 2/3 failures - bonus success for the crit. <- kobolds take the # of successes as penalties to attack rolls representing their acceptance of your offer.

Complexity

Primary Skills
Bluff, Diplomacy, Streetwise

Other Skills
Heal, Insight + any others that you may think of ...

Special: Unconcious PCs
Each PC that is reduced to 0 hit points or fewer results in a failure on the challenge as the kobolds lose confidence in the PCs' ability to overcome the thugs.

Special: Injured Dragonborn
Each of the DB that the party bloodies or reduces to 0 or fewer hit points results in a success on the challenge as the kobolds gain confidence in the PCs' ability to overcome the thugs. [/sblock]
