Nejs Ragan, Half-Elf Ardent 2

Nejs uses the pain as the claw attack nealy drops him. His mental scream reawakens Willow and J'riy (and maybe clears Fissure's sight) and distracts the enemies. Plunging his spear into the ghoul, he steps back from the enemy dragonborn.

[sblock=ooc]

Free: Ardent Outrage: Each enemy in 5 squares grants combat advantage until the start of Nejs next turn.
Standard: Energizing Strike Augment 1 (1d20+12=26, 1d10+5=7) against G2; Willow gains 4 HP. As negative HP don't count for healing, she is back to 4 HP.
Minor: Ardent Surge (1d6=1) on J'ryi. Can spent HS, gains +1 HP and + 1 to attacks until Nejs next turn.
AP: Use second wind, regain 8 HP and get +2 to all defenses. Gives Fissure an extra save vs binded/slowed via feat.
Move: Shift to 13 F.

---

Aura 5: +3 damage on opportunity attacks, +2 to Diplomacy and Intimidate checks.

J'ryi awakes seeing red. A cacophony of forces drives him forward: Nejs' psionic call to action, his mental screams of agony, and J'ryi's own draconic heritage drive him into an intense fury. He strikes out indiscriminately at the nearest foes, accidentally catching Ghorgor within a burst of fire.

And Ghorgor proceeds to do just that.

[sblock=OOC]
Nejs had moved into the area - db against Nejs (1d20+10=17) hits
Also, Dragon's Breath doesn't mark enemies so gl1 isn't marked.

The light of the world gone with the frost, Fissure instead settles into a defensive posture and calmly breaths in. He is reassured by the feel of the stone beneath his feet. However, the icy grime is tenacious, and refuses to let go.

Calisto tries to finish the Ghoul, but she is unable to connect with the Ghoul's mind.

The cold around the dragonborn grows again, he laughs at Nejs' efforts No, I'm not done with you yet" he cackles, his claw slamming through the half-elf's armor and he falls under the wounds. The dragonborn turns his attention to Ghorgor. "Hmmm, perhaps you shall put up a better fight." he hisses, and a ghostly dragon's head appears next to Ghorgor, its frigid teeth holding the warrior in place.

The gargoyle nearly punches itself in the face as it still harries Fissure.

The cloaked ghoul moves next to Calisto and slashes at her. At the last minute, she sends out a rave of psionic force and knocks it's claws away.

The ghoul tries to take advantage of Ghorgor's immobilization but again the goliath holds back its deadly jaws.

The other one again tears another vicious wound, the dragonborn falling under it's terrible teeth.

The portal still hovers open...

[SBLOCK=OOC]If G1 was attacking my AC or Will, Calisto will use Intellect Fortress to gain +4 to the attacked defense. SO she will not have 5 damage and more important, she won't be immobilized.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=renau1g re: Dragon Breath]Ok, insert the usual disclaimer when arguing about rules regarding DM fiat, etc. But why wouldn't Dragon Breath mark when a Fighter uses it? Combat Challenge states "Whenever you attack an enemy, whether the attack hits or misses, you can choose to mark that target." Dragon Breath is an attack, so it should be able to mark, from what I see; I've found nothing in the errata to change that. Also, I saw this old thread on ENworld discussing exactly this: http://www.enworld.org/forum/4e-discussion/235630-marking-via-dragons-breath-4.html. Take from it what you will, but it seemed most people agreed (regarding the RAW) this worked.

EDIT: I'm just throwing this out there for the sake of argument, I don't want to disrupt play, so don't feel like you have to change anything - besides, the mark would've dropped as soon as G1 dropped me anyways.[/sblock]
