[ooc, katherine obviously isn't planning on charging up and engaging the creature, but she'll try to do something on her initiative.]

(it this thing within twenty feet or does katherine need to attach her light to aranels next quarell for it to help the humans see the beast? or for that matter can remi just use a move equivelent to unwrap the sun rod?)

It is standing at the top of a 25' tall bluff. It has Quarter cover, it would be half, but it's Large. The Moon is behind it somewhat (filtered by clouds/trees). The lack of light is Light Concealment, giving a miss chance. The Lighted Quarrel would change that, but Remi and Telerin will suffer the concealment penalties without it.
Still waiting on Remi's Pre-Initiative action...

OoC:OK, on the Dodge, Aranel, thanks, the trip 'around' the littlr bluff would be a couple of hundred feet west or perhaps a hundred feet east, as that way seems to slope up. Katherine, I'm ok with you talking whenever, as long as it's a sentence or so. I assume you are going to cast Light on Remi's bolt if he waits. Providing the Ormfene doesn't act prior to 7...

ooc: well, if his actions don't involve jumping into full visual range or killing katherine or remi, I'd assume we could do it after he acts too.

also ooc, I've discovered that 3.5 has a much better inspire courage ability which actually makes it do something before the fight is mostly over...
