Adventure: A Tale of Two Domains (DM:Luinnar, Judge:renau1g)

GM: The Standard Adventure Theme is the only non-official one approved at the moment.

PCs can always choose one later. If you are not in combat it should be fine :)

Also the PCs may take an short rest.

After drinking the potion the women slowly opens her eyes and looks around. She seems surprised to see friendly faces. You are not with that horrible women, are you? she asks sheepishly. I was traveling and her creatures kidnapped me and took me here to this horrible place...Something about needing me to feed her powers, and that I was one of many. I only caught brief glimpses of her, for I was out of my senses for most of the time. I swear she looked a lot like me...

Please, we have to get out of this place! the women pleads. This women lives somewhere in the next area, she says gesturing to the path leading to the next part of the cave. She may find us if we don't hurry.

The women appears to be in her early 30s. She is wearing a dirty and torn dress, so stained with dirt that it is hard to tell its former color. She has long dark hair, now matted and filthy. She is very thin and frail looking from her time in captivity, though you can tell that she was once probably very pretty. You don't believe you have seen her before.

FAIR MAIDEN, RESTRAIN YOURSELF - WELL, DON'T PHYSICALLY RESTRAIN YOURSELF, THE CITIZENS OF JUSTICE JUST FINISHED RESCUING YOU. METAPHORICALLY RESTRAIN YOUR OVERABUNDANCE OF ENTHUSIASM FOR SIR EXSIXTEN'S OILY PHYSICS. <ERROR: TARGET WORD INDEX ERROR, USING CLOSEST APPROXIMATE LEXICONICAL SUBSTITUTES>

He pats her on the head.

DON'T WORRY YOUR LITTLE HEAD ABOUT A THING - SIR EXSIXTEN WILL VANQUISH THE NEXT THING HE SEES THAT COULD PASS AS A REASONABLY ACCURATE FACSIMILE OF YOUR PERSON, THUS ALLEVIATING ANY FURTHER ENFORCED REQUIREMENT THAT YOU BE ASSAULTED AND BATTERIED TO POWER HER... POWERS.

He turns to the group and booms out

THIS WAY CITIZENS! I SAY WE USE STEALTH, SNEAK IN LIKE KANGAROOS WITH POUCHES FULL OF SILENCE THEN REVEAL THAT IT'S NOT SILENCE WE CARRY BUT JUSTICE - JUSTICE IN THE FORM OF THE WEAPONS OF HER DEMISE. WELL, GENERAL PURPOSE WEAPONS, BUT ONES CURRENTLY CALIBRATED TO WITCH-DEMISEMENT. SET YOUR WEAPONS TO "SMITE"!

Sir Exsixten marches off the direction the woman advised him not to go.

OOC: After the group has time for a short rest or two to heal up first, of course.

"Alright!" Jax says eagerly. He holds aloft his new, blue-hilted dagger. "SMITE!" To his utter surprise, the dagger reacts to his command and starts emitting an aura of faint snowflakes. "Oooh... How did you do that?" he asks Sir Exsixten.

"A-anyway, we can sneak up on the witch. Much better that way. Maybe she has the crown we're looking for, eh?"

[sblock=Luinnar]Don't worry, I have other plans for lizard breath besides being a prince. *evil laugh*[/sblock]

Leaving the women, you enter the cavern up ahead. You encounter a huge skeleton's rib cage. You make out a spiral staircase within and enter. You climb what seems like forever, but finally manage to reach the top.

This part of the cave is different from the others. The walls are made out of carved stone, chipped and decayed with age. A black curtain hangs along one wall of this room. It is unusually deep and rich in color. An image is formed on the fabric by white lines, but they seem to stand above the surface of the curtain. The picture shows a young woman manacled to an upright slab of stone. A ring of skeletons, armed with flails and whips, stands around her as if ready to strike. An occasional ripple in the surface of the material makes it seem as if the skeletons are moving ever so slightly. In addition to the macabre curtain, a large black table strewn with bone fragments stands to your left. The bones are yellow with age.

You move past the curtain and enter a room that looks like an abandoned temple. Marble now cover the floors, chipped cracked and showing horrible scenes of undead tormenting mortals. Many stone pillars litter the room, some fallen over.

A beautiful young woman sits upon a skeletal chair. She looks almost exactly like the women you encountered earlier, except she is not emaciated with hunger, but almost perfect in appearance, with long flowing hair, ruby red lips and a beautiful figure. She is wearing a golden jeweled crown on her head.

So, I see the adventures have come at last! she says in a creaky voice that does not fit her appearance. The word adventurer is a synonym for thief, don't you agree? For you plan on stealing my crown!

Fools! You dare challenge the mighty Radaga?!? I shall feed you to my minions and make your skeletons into my slaves! Her face and body start to dissipate, and her true form appears. A grizzled old hag now hunches over in a skeletal chair. Not a trace of kindness rests beneath her leathery, cracked face. This same face appeared on the stone statue you encountered when you first entered the cave.

She thumps her walking stick against the side of her chair and the entire scene begins to shift. Horrible creatures crawl from behind the pillars. They look like Goblins, but they have huge gaping maws with razor sharp teeth. Also with unusual speed, the bones of her chair begin to move. Amid the creaking and cracking of the shifting bones, the old woman's laughter rises to become a maniacal shriek. With a final surge of speed, the bones around the chair stand upright and you find yourselves face to face with a giant skeleton. Deep within its rib cage, seated in a throne composed wholly of various bones, the old woman suddenly stops laughing and fixes her evil gaze upon you. With deliberate effort, the skeleton steps forward . . .

[sblock=Combatants]
Radaga: HP 223; Bloodied 112
AC 26; Fortitude 20; Reflex 26; Will 30
Immune disease, poison, takes half damage from melee and ranged attacks.
Note: Radaga and the Giant Skeleton occupies the same space (as she is "riding" it.) They get one move action but do not share any other actions (unlike regular mounts). Radaga is one square up (still can be hit with melee), and does not provoke OAs from using ranged attacks when adjacent to PCs.
