Adventure: A Tale of Two Domains (DM:Luinnar, Judge:renau1g)

Brenn stepped back a pace and fired another arrow, this time at the crone. The arrow snapped off the bony cage of skeletal ribs, splintering and forcing the hag to twist in the confined space...

Waaaaaa! says Radaga screams, falling to the ground from Brenn's arrow.

OOC: She takes full damage from all attacks when not inside the skeleton. She is now in V 15, or wherever Brenn slides her to.

ooc: Is Sir Exsixten still immobilized?

Andras looks around in bewilderment as all of his allies are swept away. "Huh," he mutters flatly. As Radaga tumbles from her mount, the genasi grins broadly and turns to Jax, "Hey, Jax. Watch this." With some effort, he limps around the hag, drawing another vicious-looking arrow from his quiver as he does so. "Lady, you think Bonesy here has it bad?" Andras asks as he pulls the arrow back as far as he can. "You should be more concerned for yourself." He releases his bowstring, sending the arrow towards the hag. The projectile tosses her away from Andras and towards the gaping hole in the floor. Andras looks fairly pleased with himself, until he turns and sees the giant skeleton. "Ah, yes, Bonesy."

[sblock=Actions]Minor: Inspiring Word on Jax, who heals surge + 4. Boy, my healing sucks.
Move: Move to U13 by going two squares west, one SW.
Standard: Staggering Shot vs Radaga. Hits AC 28 for 26 damage, and she is pushed 5 squares. Like, two squares east, and then three squares north-east, which puts her in S20, also known as the pit. Should she not fall to her death, then she will fall prone after the first time she moves on her turn. Remember, this means she completes her move, then falls prone.

Right, I have an immediate interrupt to prep! If Jax or Sir Exsixten are hit by an adjacent enemy, and a +2 power bonus to defenses would cause the attack to miss, I'll use Insightful Warning, which gives them a (surprise) +2 power bonus to all defenses against the attack and allows them a MBA against the attacker. GM: I moved Andras to V13, he would not be able to push her into the pit at U13, I hope this is OK with you.

She saved vs falling into the pit.

Sir ExSixTen saved vs immobilized,

Brenn was immobilized so he could not move, but he saved at the end of the turn.

With a shriek of rage Radaga is pushed towards the pit. At the last moment she manages to grab onto the edge and pulls herself up, her grip surprisingly strong for someone so old. You will pay for this dearie! she hollers, standing up and shooting a dark bolt of energy at Brenn, before falling over again.

Ahhh! Kill them all! she screams from the ground. The two Goblyns oblige, gnawing on the Warforge with their razor sharp teeth. Another charges Dorn but misses, and gets an electrical shock from his barrier. The last staggers towards Jax, just managing to reach him.

At its master command, the giant skeleton leaps into the air and with a flourish stabs his two scimitars squarely through Andras, creating a great wound.

Andras's expert display of marksmanship shakes any doubt from Jax's mind about the victory of the battle (although the doubt re-enters his mind when "Bonesy" then skewers Andras).
Jax stops watching Andras dying so he can focus on the foolish goblyn that is approaching. "Back for more, eh? I'll make this quick!" True to his word, Jax executes a rapid series of attacks: a lunge to the gut, stab to the chest, and finally a slash to the throat. A tremendous spray of blood erupts from the thing's neck as it collapses to the ground.

Now that Jax is finally free to maneuver, he walks (almost struts, really) to flank with Sir Exsixten. He picks one of the goblyns attached to the robot's legs and starts kicking it viciously - not doing much damage, but at least greatly distracting it. "Get off him!"

OOC: Bonus damage! Until the start of Jax's next turn, the next ally who hits Biter 3 and has CA against it deals 2d8+4 extra damage. (Jax is now in R13, flanking with Sir Exsixten).

[sblock=Jax stat block / actions]Standard: Sly Lunge vs Biter 4 CRITS for 47 cold damage. This bloodies Biter 4. (1d20+21=41; [1d4+16+1+2d8+4]=41; crit: 3d6=6)

Free: Press the Advantage vs Biter 4 hits AC 38 for 20 cold damage. (1d20+21=38; 2d4+12+1+2=20)

AP-Standard: Bloodbath vs Biter 4 hits Fortitude 29 for 49 cold damage, killing it, and its corpse takes ongoing 14 damage (save ends). (1d20+21=29; 1d4+12+1+2=17; 2d8+4=14; 1d4+12+1+2=18)
--Skirmishing Presence (Andras): Jax shifts to R13 after the attack.
--Inspiring Presence (Quagmire): Jax regains 11 hp.

Minor: Sneak in the Attack on Biter 3. Until the start of Jax's next turn, the next ally who hits Biter 3 and has CA against it deals 2d8+4 extra damage.

"Damn skeletons," Andras mutters as he tries to staunch the bleeding, to no effect. "Right, no point crying over spilled blood." He looks at the goblyn Jax is harrying and sees an opening. Andras's arrow tears through the creature's leg, throwing it off balance and giving Jax an opportunity for further violence. An opportunity the kobold takes advantage of.

Andras then turns towards the prone hag and lowers his head like a charging bull. He rushes towards her, but she twists out of the way, avoiding the vicious tusks on the genasi's helmet.

[sblock=Actions]Start of turn: Take 10 damage.
Minor: Shake It Off on myself, but I fail the save
Standard: On My Mark vs Biter 3. Hits AC 26 for 25 damage (including Sneak in the Attack). Jax can now make a MBA against Biter 3, with a +5 power bonus to the attack roll. I'll just roll that now. Hits AC 29 for 29 damage. So Biter 3 took a total of 54 damage there.
Move: Shift to U14, gaining a +1 item bonus to AC and Reflex until the end of my next turn.
Action Point: Charge Radaga, moving to T17. Bah, missed. Still, I'm up in her grill, so to speak. Also, I get to heal 11 and make a save at +5. Thanks cov! Warlords are great! I don't flub the save this time, aka 15.

Dorn takes a deft step behind the ankle biter. (Immediate Reaction since biter missed Dorn - Dorn uses Goblin Stompers to shift one square SW).
