I approve of 7 DM credits for Luinnar and all of the above except Kasha. Sadly as Anti left without warning (I presume he didn't make you aware for a graceful exit Luinnar?) he is ineligible for time gold/xp, so just the 1032 xp for Kasha.

oh, and Dekana - Rat Form Armor is pretty cool

[sblock=ooc]Thanks Luinnar! Jax leveled up, so I updated his character sheet.

renau1g - Agreed! I thought it would be funny for a kobold to polymorph into a rat. Yeah, I know they're reptilians (or dogs depending on the source), but I think a rodent fits Jax's personality better. And gameplay-wise, I can imagine the ability getting some scouting use.

Iron Sky: Whether or not Sir Exsixten is actually dirty from his travels, Jax wants to see him sparkling. I don't mean to take liberties with your description. ;)[/sblock]
Jax is a little more twitchy than usual in the morning. He often looks to the now-empty seat that Kasha would use, the cracked floorboard that Ingot would stand on, and the bloody corner where RAM TIGER would eat at. The zombie problem obviously hasn't been dealt with yet, and the size of his adventuring party keeps shrinking. So when The Champion of The Order of the Red Plus strides through the inn's doors and loudly announces his presence, Jax is perhaps more welcoming than the other patrons.

Iron Sky said:
"SO, WHAT NEEDS TO BE AVENGED AROUND HERE ANYWAY?"
"Zombies!" Jax pauses a moment, realizing what he just said. "Wait, no... don't avenge them. Avenge ON them, yes? The town is thick with them."

The kobold steps closer to Sir Exsixten and scans him from head to toe. Arrggh! This won't do at all. he thinks.
"How did you get here? Through a swamp? You're getting a bath before you avenge on anything!"

"Zombies, is it? That is good to know." The voice is quiet, a bit too clipped to be a hiss- the tone of someone who is simply quiet by nature, the polar opposite of the massive warforged.

There is a soft, deliberate rustle of cloth as the speaker appears in a shadowed corner of the room- with the obvious metal man by the door it would be easy to understand how this fellow might have gone unseen. The speaker is a young elf, sharp-featured and grim, dressed in a patchwork of tan and grey. "Nobody around here really wanted to talk to us, wouldn't tell us a thing. Kept saying we ought to wait until 'those others' came down, you would know what's happening." The elf glanced up the stairs when Jax had come from, and it could be seen that his eyes were hidden behind strange lenses of yellowed glass- and even inside the taven, he held a strung longbow in one hand, as if ready for trouble. "I'd guess that you are one of 'those others'..."

Thanks :)

I did not hear anything from Anti before he left sadly, so he did leave without warning.

The adventure so far.

Seeing Sir X610 and thinking he is Ingot, Luc walks up to him. Soon he notices that the Warforged is different than Ingot and looks at him quizzically saying Seventh doth suns of son the time rise, to of eternity an to knave the sends cries.

OOC: I will just post the summary here, in case anyone wants to refresh their memory :)

[sblock=The adventure so far]
An unknown mysterious man at the tavern asks the party to delver a small package to the Island of Sojourn, a newly discovered island, in return for 180 gp after they complete this task.
http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5301176

When talking to him, RAM TIGER attacks the man, who knocks RAM TIGER out in a single blow. The man threatens to hunt down and kill anyone who harms innocent villagers.
http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5303682

The party sets sail, and soon finds the current leading them to the island. The boat is rocked by heavy waves and a thick mist envelopes the boat. Soon however the boat runs ashore. The sky is dark above, a storm looks to be brewing.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5309246

The party finds tracks and a day old campsite. Meanwhile Ingot senses some unknown dark power surrounding the island out to sea.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5315219

The party follows the tracks into the nearby swamp, and is attacks by crocodiles and giant frogs, which are killed.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5315434

Soon the party encounters a band of gypsies. The elder welcomes them into their camp, cooking them dinner and telling them a tale of a man called Rudolph, who was a traveler, a writer, a historian, and an adventurer.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5326946

After dinner the man’s daughter tells their fortune,

Valana gazes at each of you in turn, with the firelight shining in her large, black eyes. “The trouble began when I cast the runes for that quiet and lost young man,” she explains sadly. “Perhaps it will end with another casting.” She holds a flat pan in her lap and stone tiles in her hands. Then, after gazing once again into your eyes, she drops the tiles into the pan.

"The lost one has called you!” Valana gasps. Each member of her family hastily makes a protective gesture. “The dead will walk with the coming storm, and you must find a way to put them to rest. If you cannot, the rain will turn to blood! It will drown you—you and all of Marais d'Tarascon!”

“Beware the madman,” she says. “Beware his blood

After a nights sleep they find the gypsies gone. The party heads further in the swamp, and finds a small hut which seems to be floating on the water. In it they find a strange youth, Luc, oblivious of their presence. He does not answer their questions except with cryptic nonsensical verses. Before they leave he follows the party. The party who heads to town on the nearby raft.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5336070

When they enter the town they find a funeral being conducted, but whatever is in there is trying to get out. Soon they pick the lock and open the casket and emerges an armed zombie.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5339407

After they destroy the creature they are yelled at the local priest of Saint Cuthbert, who tells them that they should leave the town and mind their own business.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5348330

They next head to the local bakery to deliver the package, which they find contains one of the baker’s red licorice pieces. She tells the party that her candy was found at all the murders and disappearances as of late, and that there has been a new murder this morning.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5350195

Heading to the crime scene they (still followed by Luc, with a storm brewing in even greater intensity overhead) find the local constable Gremin. He tells them that there has been many murders as of late, all of the bodies have been dragged off for an unknown reason. He also says that is son died suddenly not long ago and came back as a zombie. He also mentions that the island is called Souragne, not Sojourn, when questions he remarks that maybe that is what foreigners call it.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5353798

RAM TIGER soon finds the sent of the killer, and tracks it to the nearby cemetery, where the trail grows cold. Since the priest and someone else is in view, burying the recently destroyed zombie, they decide to head back at night for some clue finding/grave robbing.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5359090

They next head back to the scene of the crime and talk to Fiora, whose daughter is missing and has barricaded her in her house. She heard the murder happening nearby her house, and saw a hooded man. She also mentions that her daughter works at the nearby plantation as a maid. She says that foul flesh eaters rummage around at the cemetery at night. She also indirectly witnessed the murder by her house, done by a man in a hood.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-...ml#post5364094

The party goes to the Full Moon Inn to have a bite to eat, and meet up with a Genasi named Andras, who joins them on their quest, while Ingot stays behind with Luc, who refuses to follow.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living...-dm-luinnar-judge-renau1g-21.html#post5369497

The party then heads to the plantation that Teresa worked at.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living...-dm-luinnar-judge-renau1g-22.html#post5374338

They find the lights on and enter. They find a dinner party going on, a party headed by ghouls! The party soon dispatches them and finds a pocket watch on one of the bodies and a broach that identifys Teresa as one of the ghouls. They also search the house and find fresh corpses, dirt and one corpse dressed like the missing barmaid (the one who was murdered in front of Fiora’s house), RAM TIGER also finding a note in a hidden compartment.

“Marcel,

You seemed busy with that scroll again, so I decided to leave a note instead of bothering you. I'm going to head out to get some more seeds for the fields. The crops have been doing very well this year, hopefully we will make a bundle of gold.

Send Luc to check on the servants later, they should be harvesting the corn today. He seems capable of taking care of things himself, just remind him to keep an eye on Teresa and Colin. They seem to spend more time talking to each other than doing actual work. If rumors are true he is going to propose to her soon. They have been hard workers up to now, so we should think of a good weeding gift for them.

Don't spend too much time with that scroll, you need to get some daylight sometime!

-Your brother Jean”

The party then goes back to Fiora and tells her the news.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living...-dm-luinnar-judge-renau1g-27.html#post5395507

And reports to Gremin about the deaths and on his urgings visits the blacksmith, whose son turned out was the ghoul who owned the pocket watch.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living...-dm-luinnar-judge-renau1g-28.html#post5400355

They then head to the inn for a snack (under RAM TIGER’s “request”) but then…

“Your meal is soon interrupted by a strange smell. At first you think the cook must have burnt some food, but soon it grows stronger. The foul miasma chokes your lungs and burns your eyes. All the patrons around you start to choke and gag. Some keel over, coughing, while others pass out. You have never smelled such a foul stench in your life.

Dorn and RAM TIGER hurry out of the inn to investigate the foul smell. Outside they find foot prints leading off to the east and bits of rotting tissue. Before they can investigate further they hear a scream, and rush back inside. Several of the patrons who collapsed have come back to their senses... but something is wrong with them. They rise unnaturally from where they were laying, their eyes are glazed over, their skin now a grayish color. They have become zombies!”

The party soon dispatches them, and heads to their room, where they are met by Luc, Ingot seems to have disappeared. In the morning after their rest they find Kasha and RAM TIGER are missing.

Sir Exsixten looks back at the man, machinery whirring audibly inside his head as he tries to process what was just said.

OOC: I skimmed through the story so far in spite of the fact that I don't like having too much information about the adventures Sir Exsixten is in, that way I get to have him invent and interpret everything we're doing. :p

Thanks for taking the time to do all that! I'd give you an xp but I have to spread them around more.
