GM: Dorn, Jax and Andras took an extended rest at the inn, so please reset your status accordingly (you may use unlimited of Andras's healing power to heal if you wish)

Seeing that they share a common interest in solving the mystery's of the town, Andras, Jax and Dorn decide to join up with Sir X610 and Brenn Blackfeather and hopefully help the people of the village out (and find some valuable look in the process). Soon Sir X610 leads the way out of the Full Moon Inn (followed by Luc).

The sky is dark, darker than it has been since Jax and Dorn first set foot on the island. Wind blows with fearsome howl and thunder crashes far away in the distance. It does not take a druid to tell that the storm will finally hit today and that when it does it will be a terrible downpour.

GM: So far the party has gathered several hints to the mystery, but the cause(s) behind the happenings in town still remain unanswered.

You can now explore town and try to find more clues.

You could check up on Constable Gremin and see how his investigation has been going, visit various houses of interest to interview the locals (or knock on random doors, but that may or may not get you anywhere), or see what goods the blacksmith and general store has to offer; or proceed in any manner you wish.

Sir Exsixten strides out into the center of the street, pulls out his axe and shield and waits expectantly. After a few minutes, he starts shouting.

UNDEAD BEINGS, NOW IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO CEASE YOUR ENDLESS ROAMING. YOU ARE TO NO MORE LIVE IN THIS PLACE - TIME FOR AXE-PATRIATION MANGY UNDEAD! TIME TO MAKE YOUR AXE-IT RIGHT HERE!

[sblock=Diplomacy 16]Diplomacy 1d20+1=16 to convince the undead to come out so we can murder them.[/sblock]

Despite Sir Exsixten's valiant attempt, no undead shamble out to meet him. It does cause many houses within earshot to slam and bolt their door and windows at the mere mention of undead; as well as a passing mother and child to hurry away from the scene however.

Undead! What is it, what happened!? a voice shouts, coming from constable Gremin who comes running to where the party is at.

Oh, it's you three, he says noticing Jax, Dorn and Andras. Where are these undead? Have you found anything? Did you find where they came from? he asks.

Oh great, the lawman is here thinks Jax, mildly annoyed. Still, maybe he can be useful.

"Not today, but listen to this! Something was outside the inn last night. Something from the east! And it smelled really bad. And the smell killed people. And they turned into zombies!" Jax's speech only becomes more freakish and unbelievable as he goes on.

Sounds like what happened when my son... he says shaking his head.

Well east does not give us much to go on. The whole town is that way, so it looks like this thing isprobably hiding out somewhere in town.

And before you ask, I did have a check at the graveyard. he says. I could not find anything abnormal, besides some recently dug up graves.

Speaking of which, I identified the bodies you found yesterday. They all belong to recently dead or missing villagers. Jean and Marcel has a lot of explaining to do when I find them. The problem is I've asked around and nobody have seen any of the family, besides Luc here, in two weeks.

Until we find them I'm afraid I've run out of ideas... wait a moment. he says. Why you don't you have a talk with Mordu. He is a bit of a weirdo but seems to know some things about the supernatural, or at least talks like he does. Have a talk with him and see if he knows anything while I see if I can find the Tarascon boys. he says, pointing to where the cottage is nearby.

WAIT! SIR EXSIXTEN HAS AN IDEA! Sir Exsixten says, suddenly springing into motion. OUR HERO SENSES THERE IS AN ALLY OF THE FOUL NECROMANCER'S NEARBY, THIS WAY!

Conveniently, it happens to be exactly the same way the constable is pointing.

Brenn shook his head, almost sadly. "I'm pretty sure that isn't going to turn out well," he sighed, watching the warforged head in the direction the constable had pointed. "You said you checked the graveyard- have you checked the church? Has anyone? Sometimes this sort of corruption festers where it is least expected. And failing that, we might head back out to the plantation in daylight. We can tell if the things you fought there yesterday have been tampered with overnight, and we might be able to see if there has been other activity. I am a skilled tracker, after all."

Even as he spoke, he kept an eye on the cabin that the constable had pointed out, and set an arrow on the string of his longbow- just in case.

>anyone else have any ideas, before the warforged does in the weird old guy?
>For what it is worth, Brenn currently has his Aspect of the Seeking Falcon stance active, and should be assumed to have it active unless specifically stated otherwise (since at-will stances can be maintained outside of combat). This is reflected in his stat block below.

Jax nods at Brenn's suggestion. He says in his staccato barking voice, "Ooh, you can track? Maybe you can check outside the tavern. We can follow the smelly thing. Before it rains!"

OOC: Any of these leads are fine with me. My thinking is that we'll lose the trails once the storm starts, but we can always talk to Mordu (well, unless he gets turned into a zombie).

I've checked everywhere I can think of, including the church Gremin says to Brenn as Sir Exsixten rushes off. Still no luck. Let me know if you find anything! he calls out to the party as they hurry after Sir Exsixten.

The party heads to Mordu's cottage, located almost right across from the Inn. It is made of wood and is simple in design and sports a chimney, similar to the others nearby.

Without knocking Sir Exsixten thrusts the door open. You are greeted with the smell of pungent odors, probably coming from the strange creatures floating in jars on shelves. You also notice many oddities about the place. A shrunken head hangs from the ceiling, one wall is devoted only to holy symbols, some you've never seen before. On one shelf sits a stuffed hand belonging to something clawed and green (but not scaly like a Kobold Jax thinks to himself). Books and scrolls also fill the bookcases lining the walls containing names you've never heard of such as "History of Har'Akir", "Falkovnia, Keening, Tepest and Beyond", "Geography of the Islands of the Souragne, Odiare and L'Cath", as well as something written in Abyssal.

The small aging book's title reads "The history of Anton Misroi, Lord of Souragne."

In one corner sits a small wiry man wearing glasses and reading a book. At your entrance he looks up from his chair in the corner. Ah, you must be those adventurers that the town has been talking about! he says is his raspy voice. I would have met you sooner, but I was determined to finish this latest fascinating piece for the research I've been doing he says, motioning to the book he has been reading titled "The Cult of the Swamp God." I, of course, have a theory on what is happening in town, but before I divulge it, let me hear what you have been up to so I can see if it confirms my suspicions! he says, motioning to nearby chairs for the party to sit down.
