[Adventure] Dusk and Her Embrace (Judge: THB)

horticulture

Slightly entitled.
OOC: You could spit the skill challenge into two scenes. It would count as a single challenge for total successes and failures, milestones, etc. This way we would consecrate the altar at the first scene, and the second would be handled when we decide to actually destroy the crystal.

GM: That makes sense. Let's do it that way.

Let me know if the group wants to go that route.

OOC: works for me.

"Well, now that the doors are secured, I say we need ta remove all traces of the evil one from Onatar's temple.", Brondin says.

He walks to another of the vile statues and swings his craghammer, and lands a might blow, blasting the defiled statue into large chunks of marble and dust. He then begins to remove the debris and toss the rubble into one of the pits.

OOC: Summary:
Standard: Athletics Check (1d20+11=18)

[sblock=Destroying the Shard, part 1]Level: 5

Complexity: 2 (requires 4 successes before 3 failures).

Primary Skill: Religion.

Religion (DC 14, 1 success, no maximum): You call upon the power of Onatar to cleanse the altar.

Other Skills: Diplomacy, Dungeoneering.

Diplomacy (DC 14, no successes): Onatar is the god of the forge and industry, and is known to be both diplomatic and reasonable. You’re no cleric, but your silver tongue might sway the god to aid you in your endeavor. You grant a +2 bonus to one ally’s next Religion check made as part of this skill challenge.

Dungeoneering (DC 18, no successes): You use your knowledge of stonework to remove all traces of evil iconography from the altar. On a success, all Religion checks made as part of this skill challenge gain a +2 bonus.[/sblock]
GM: One skill check per character per round. Feel free to use a skill not listed, as long as you can come up with a plausible reason; the DC for using a skill not listed is 18.

jsb420 has one success so far.

Ghourra decides she'd just get in the way of the ritual, so she continues to watch for signs of undead breaching the shrine.

OOC: Ghourra does nothing with her turn.

As long as Bellegon successfully aids, Deimos automatically succeeds a DC 14 check, so I see little benefit from anyone else trying to do anything to help.
