Ewald looks at Gregorian with aother pondering look. All throughout the conversation he's kept his distance, just watching and listening. As the others make ready to start their investigation, Ewald clears his throat lightly, seemingly a bit embarassed to chime in.

"Erm, fellows... I feel as if I'm not really in my place here. I humbly beg your pardon, but I am afraid that I cannot accompany you further on his quest. It doesn't seem... right. Again, I offer my apologies." With a sad smile and a nod of his head, Ewald picks up his backpack and turns to the rope, quickly climbing out of view.

Everyone, real-life is interfering with my ability to make regular posts. Sorry to bail out on you like this.
Mithreander, I chose Gregorian as an 'in-game' reason for Ewald to leave. Nothing personal against you, but I don't think the two of 'em would have gotten along anyway. ;)

Shariff waves good bye to Ewald and then says. "I'm ready to go. I'd prefer a nights rest so that my powers are at full when we get down there but I think I will survive without being at maximum efficiancy." He starts checking his things. "Oh. I definatly can't go first. I'll stay next to Corix if that's all right."

Gregorian gives a pleasant wave to Ewald as he leaves. He'll probably steal my horse. the young man thinks and says, "I'll make sure that you get out alright." so I can make sure that you leave with what is yours he thinks as he holds the ladder for the man and climbs up after him asking "Will you need any water or rations for your return trip? I have plenty to spare." he looks down at the others and says "I'll be right back. I just want to make sure that Ewold has no trouble getting started."

Silvercat looks to his morningstar, a weapon that he had little skill with. Well, it would have to do against these little Golems, he suppossed.

COming back down the ladder/rope/whatever after making sure that his horse was fine and not taken by the man that had left, he nods in agreement. "Fine, let's go!" At that he pulls out his rapier in his right hand, holding a sunrod in the other from the pointed out satchel.

Silvercat walks beside Gur, using his superior senses to check the passage as he went.

Gregorian follows behind Shadowcat. well, this is the way adventures should be! the less then moral man thinks, as he makes his way into the unknown. Follow someone else so that they may warn you of dangers ahead... even if that means getting hit by whatever is ahead for you!

Devlin motions for Sullivan to go next, so he'll be in the middle of the group, able to see what's ahead while not placing their sole information source in unnecessary danger.

"Go ahead Sullivan, I'll be right behind you." Devlin will fall in immediately behind the researcher, crossbow at the ready.
