Silvercat looks up from where he is trying to get civilization (Tea) going to say 'SO, what we have is a mess of Dwarven Golems, a scholar who may or may not be under 'official' mandate to explore, even if someone could claim officiality here, no Map and an unknown Dwarven City? Oh, and with no proper payoff in sight?Well, count me in...' , before whistling a little ditty and digging for his tin cup.

Silvercat, under no illusions that he can disable a Golem with his Rapier looks sheepish and says 'Anyone have a Rust Monster in their pocket?'

"NOw that reminds me of a story. A guy walks into a bar with a Rust monster in his pocket. He walks up to the bar and says. "I'll bet any of you that the beer will be on the house with in 10 minutes." The Bar tender says "I'll take that bet." and then the Guy pulls out the rust monster and it dashes into the back room.
Well the Bartender rushes back as well and starts carrying the barrels with thier iron hoops away from the creature, but to no avail. 5 minutes go buy and the guy says. "Hey bartender The best place is the roof. Rust monsters can't climb." and withing 10 minutes the beer was on the house.' Shariff says giggiling.

Sullivan says, "So it sounds like your plans are to beat the little golems into bits? Well, it could work, I wouldn't try it myself though. Their cases are pretty smooth and hard though. You'd need a big axe or a big mace I suppose..."

Gur looks proudly at his wooden staff like it would be enough... "Ah hell, if they're anything like insects I'll be able to flip 'em over and bust then over the stomach with my staff here, no problem. It's you fellows that depend on pointy metal that I look down on, except of course my arrows, those 'r important."

Gregorian shrugs and says "We'll have to see how they are deployed first. I think that may be the key, especially if the number of creatures are unknown. There may be an off switch for them somewhere and in finding that we easiely bypass the unplesantmess of facing them. That is, if I'm correct. There has to be some form of records or somesuch in the ruins that discuss them." gregorian, once more looking at the older man and the others. "Are we to agree in the 500 gp's then?"

"500 gips? Er, you young kids and your slang. I'll give you 500 crowns, if that's the same. Actually, there are some much more massive golems that would have made one hell of a lot of noise if they were working... theres a repositore of logs there, though I'm not familiar with the language. Are any of you naturally dwarven tongued, you might be able to read the old dialect..."

"Right then, who shall lead the way? It's not my native tongue, but I have a passible familiarity with the dwarven language." Devlin asks as he makes his way toward the rear of the cavern.

"And do we need to provide our own light?"

"It is a cave... my ioun stone has a temporary light spell cast on it, I can refresh it now and then, and carry a number of sun rods in that satchel over there..." Sullivan points to a pile with some of his equipment, including the sunrods which are visible.
