OOC: 0 for 5 and a failed save so far. A really bad round for the PCs. Maybe Jayce can salvage a little.

OOC: Yup. I'm starting to feel that this may very well turn into a TPK. What was the encounter level for this battle? It seemed like we had to throw all of our resources at it and we may still lose.

Jayce distances himself from the half troll.

"Wait right here, ugly, I'll be right back." With one fluid motion, Jayce's next whip lash is around his waist, which secures the whip in place. His hand pulls back, now holding the longsword and with a rapid rush, he charges down the bugbear, his blade puncturing its chest.

OOC: Unlike the PCs, the NPCs had a monster round.

Rava continues to bleed from her wounds.

Sirrah strikes at the bugbear's legs, trying to force it off balance. The bugbears leaps away from the strike.

Hilkalas stands up and draws magical lines with his sword again. A burst of dark proyections fills the battlefield, trying to devour the enemies of the group. However, the enemies have already seen the Marshal do this trick, and are likely to resists his sorcery.

The Half Troll is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it knows enough to stay out of magical effects. It charges Jayce, grabs him around the chest and squeezes. Jayce falls unconscious.

The first Hobgoblin sneaks in behind Tana and seriously electrocutes her with its staff. Tana is disoriented.

The second Hobgoblin takes advantage of Tana's disorientation to stab her in the shoulder. It then repositions the monsters.

Terrain: The entire area is wet from the rain.

The road is difficult terrain due to mud. The rest of the area is wet, but it doesn't affect movement.

Cover: Trees provide one way cover if the target is in the adjacent square behind them compared to the attacker. Trees also provide normal two way cover for both attacker and defender if neither is in the adjacent square (i.e. PC away from tree, monster away from tree, but tree between the two of them).

Concealment. Bushes provide concealment, but only if the character is purposely crouched down behind them. The monsters were hiding behind the bushes, but now are not.

I will indicate if any of the monsters are trying to gain concealment.
