Jasper seems a little taken back by the talking undead "Uh, well, uh, I guess we can leave first thing tomorrow morning. It'll take two full days of walking to get there, so we should probably use as much of daylight as possible."

The kalasthar general approached the man as well. He had sit in the tavern long enough. His hands on his back, he locked his white, pupil-less eyes on the man, as he sent a torrent of thoughts into his mind. "It is not often that one such as myself, volunteers for such a simple task. But since you are getting a plethora of individuals to join your journey, I guess you want them coordinated and coherent. Not a group of mnekys each pulling the rope to their own side. I, marshal Hilkalas shall see to it."

"Though remember if we do run into any hostile people or creatures, please do as we ask immediately. We are all, in one fashion or another, trained in facing and dealing out violence. You are not, and our goal is to keep you safe." Tana says.

"Can you tell us more about where we are going?" She asks.

Rava looks at the group forming around Jasper and after everyone has had a chance to get in on it, the cleric responds as well.

"It would seem, Jasper, that The Host blesses you this day, for look at the great number of skilled mercenaries willing to escort you when none else would. You have my participation as well, on this journey. Rest assured that we will see you all safely to your sister's home. And since we will be waiting until morning, I would love to better know my employer. And don't you fret about the fees or monetary compensation. Some times a good deed is its own reward." she finishes, smiling widely at the man in an attempt to ease his nervousness.

OOC: Now that Jasper has so many signing up for escort duty, does he still seem nervous, or has he calmed?

"Well, that's very nice of all of you. Thank you. I wasn't 'specting quite so much help. As to where we are going, we just head north along the main road until we get to the Hooting Owl Inn. We should get there well before dark tomorrow night. We'll get supper and spend the night there. Uh, I can't pay for anyone but myself, so you'll need a few coin. Then, we take one of the game trails out. It weaves around a bit, but it'll take us where we need to go. I 'spect that we'll get to my sister's around supper time. She's not 'specting me, but she should be able to put out a spread. Jasper smiles at his improved situation.

Jayce grinds his teeth to hold back his retort of Jasper's opinion of House Denieth. Like so many civilians, he just didn't understand how many lives were lost, friends of his, fighting battles to keep his way of life safe, secure, and evidently pleasantly unappreciative.

No, thought Jayce, bandits this close to Sharn might indicate wanted criminals or connections to the Boromar or Dassk. That would definitely be worth the trip. And the distraction.

The warrior grunts, "I'm in."

"And I have spent too many days at the Shard waiting for word from the Library or another opportunity to come by." Tana said. She'd seen the others in the Shard from time to time, but had never had occasion to speak with them. "It occurs to me that I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Tana of Korranberg, and something of a student of history, arcane lore, and, more relevant to the task at hand, of sword magic. And I will see you all when we prepare to depart."

"Well, ok. I'll see everyone at first light. as he turns to leave.

OOC: If anyone wants to ask Jasper anything else, now's the time to do it. If people want to roleplay a bit in the tavern, feel free to do so. Once everyone is finished, we can move on to morning.
