"Very well, I was paid to deliver his message, I know little about the man, except that he wants the diamond. I will be on my way" Huntsman Yanni replies and begins backing away, not turning his back on you.

After nearly reaching the gate the gnoll finally turns around, but leaps up to the small walkway above the door and pulls himself up. He surprises the startled monks and grabs one of them by the throat, lifting the poor man in the air and holding a clawed hand menacingly around the monk's throat.

""Perhaps you will be more willing to consider the offer now? Lest I need to start what Rigas intends to finish later?" Yanni says, his fingers tracing tiny red lines on the quivering monks neck. The other watchman looks ready to run, but the hyenas keep him from dropping down.

"You'd better listen to him," Dorn adds. "He doesn't react well to treachery." (Bluff 12)

[sblock=OOC]How is that a bluff? Skaliss doesn't react well to treachery! He is not reacting well to treachery right now![/sblock]

[sblock=Tactics]I am thinking of opening with Divine Glow. It only affects enemies so human shield offer no protection. Of course, it doesn't stun or daze either... anyone has such effects?[/sblock]

Yeah, but Dorn was implying he'd been with S. for a while and seen him do some nasty stuff, which isn't strictly true. But yeah I get your point. :)

Crag lowers himself and his shield into a defensive stance, drawing his sword.

"It is not very wise to antagonize a Paladin, Huntsman. If you value your life as more than a random sack of coins, set the monk down, GENTLY, and walk away SLOWLY. Any more trechery on your part will be a sanctioned death sentence. "

Not knowing how much the gnoll knows about magic (and not truly understanding it himself) he looks over at the sorcerer.

"Dorn, please show our guest what happens to fur and flesh when it is instantly incinerated in white hot flames..."

"Dorn, please show our guest what happens to fur and flesh when it is instantly incinerated in white hot flames..."

Dorn turns his palms face up, and they begin to glow a deep, ruby red.

"Only if I have to" he says, lowering his palms again. "I'm not sure I can control the blast, and I'd hate to burn any part of this holy place down." It seems clear that in this, at least, Dorn is not bluffing.

"I believe you have your answer, gnoll. Unless you are feeling suicidal, please kindly release the monk and begone." Dorn manages to speak without his voice quavering - the support of his comrades keeping his fear at bay for the moment.
