"Kreepto doesn't know the guards, but Kreepto is sure that this man is one of them. He has not been a liar to Kreepto before, but Kreepto does not know much of lies. When Kreepto was with Kreepto's clan, Kreepto did not know what a lie was..."
 

Nace looks at the entrance, shifting uncomfortably, then back to the miner then Kreepto. What the small kobold says makes the youth frown just slightly, then he shifts his stance again to look at Asen. "So, we stay hidden, then; is this a good place to do so?"
 

"Kreepto does not feel safe on dirt level. Either go high up, or under a blanket of earth, but never stay at ground level during the night. Wild creatures always come for Kreepto during the night, and they are not afraid of walls and doors. They only fear traps and numbers! But if we get a layer of rock between us, or a high place that they can't reach, Kreepto is safer."
 

Realising he still holds his rapier drawn, Jagos sheaths it, thinking there is no immediate threat here.

"Wild creatures? Here? Wouldn't the guards stop them? Or are these also something coming from the mines? What have you seen?" Jagos replies confusedly to Kreepto's statement.

"I agree that we should find someplace safe around here though. Asen, can you think of any place where we can remain somewhat safe during the night, preferably that we could get to without being noticed?"
 

"Erm... Kreepto speaks in Kreepto's mottos. Kreepto knows how to hide and be safe from wild creatures, and Kreepto does not feel safe here. Kreepto should go high up where they can't reach, or hide under rocks...

Asen says that, "The other men are in the basement and on the floor above. I came down here for a snack and drink as I said before..."
 

"Is there any warehouse or anything nearby that doesn't see much use?" Jagos asks Asen.

edit:"Not on ground level." he adds with a worried smile, and nods toward Kreepto.

Asen, who now seems to be a bit confused suddenly, and after a few seconds of looking at the floor, says, "Wait one second... you're not here to rob the stores are you! Bandits! I can't believe you! I liked you!"

He draws his shortsword and takes a step away from the group, looking a bit worried now. His sudden change in temperment is mirrored by the feint sound of footsteps from above and far behind the cart, then what sounds like a lock closing in the distance (heard by Kreepto, Vanadan, and Jarret).
