(Adventure) Immortality Awakens (Knight Otu Judging) Part II

[Rystil Arden]

*None of the halflings or humans is a child.*

 

[Bront]

OOC: How are they fighting? The non-halflings are organized and in a circle, how about the halflings. Is it a more primal fight? Are any biting as an attack? Are they dressed more tribally/savagely? Cade's looking for clues.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*The halflings attack with daggers and other small weapons. They do not attack with bites because their teeth are not really positioned well to get off a bite without being attacked, much like a normal halfling. When they talk, their teeth do seem to have more canines and be a bit sharper, but maybe it's just all the talk about cannibalism. They are dressed in simple and a bit ragged tribal desert garb.*

*The non-halflings fight mainly with spears or with whatever strange powers the others have. Their clothing seems to be of better quality.*

 

[Bront]

"So, did any of these halflings murder an inocent? Have you proof beyond that they are simply halflings?"

OOC: Was hoping someone else would chime in

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Yes," he replies simply, "They did."

 

[Bront]

Cade sighs, "Then I have little to say here, but I will not watch such mindless slaughter."

Cade turns and heads back to a dune, where he dismounts and sits in the sand. "Alton, I think I'm going to be sick."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Mindless it is not," the woman speaks simply.

*As Cade leaves, they proceed to continue the battle. Eventually, Scun finishes finding the evil. Some of the halflings have minor auras of evil, about one in three. One of the humans has a minor aura also. There's also an ominous major aura of evil that can't be placed.*

*As the dust begins to settle and the battle draws to a close, the last halfling falling with seven humans still standing, a maniacal cackle emanates from the circle's center, and a hidden halfling rises from the sand, dark energy and red blood flowing from the fallen to him as he intones:*

"Blood of my sacrificed people, sting of the sand, darkness eternal, grant the power of the storm to me! Today...today I feed!"

*A whirling sandstorm swirls around the halfling and flays his flesh off, as he cackles maniacally and holds his hands up, reveling in the pain. He snarls and draws too bloody blades and hisses:*

"All will suffer!"

At that, Cade will mount up and charge in, aiming for whoever is cackling maniackly (other than the DM)
