(Adventure) Immortality Awakens (Knight Otu Judging) Part II

"Mindless? Don't pretend you don't understand, halfling beast," the man who spoke before replies.

"And yet perhaps he does not. With the great failure, it is possible...though if so, we are in great danger..." the woman who defeated the halfling with a mere stare earlier comments.

"Brother, help us please! You have come to save us from the giants, yes? Their attacks on our people will end, as you bear with you great weapons to save us! And such a feast we will have when the giants are slain!"

Cade addresses the halfling, "Surrender. Let those still alive have a chance to live. If these people be honorable, they will accept."

He turns back to the woman. "If I understood what is happening here, I would not be asking you. But it pains me to stand idly by while you brutaly slay my kind before my eyes. All I ask is that you explain your actions. If I had intended you harm, I would have not given up the element of suprise."

*As they're talking, the hooded people continue to kill the halflings.*

"They won't except our surrender. Slay them, handsome knight!" the halfling girl pleads.

"The halflings are a dangerous menace, and so they must die so that all others may live," the woman explains.

"They're halflings. They can't be trusted beyond spearpoint and they have no vhal," she replies calmly.

"That's not true!" the halfling retorts.

"Plus, as I'm sure you're aware, being a halfling, they eat sentient beings."

Cade's stomach wretches at that thought, but he does what he can to now show it. "I have never done such a thing, nor would I consider it."

"You obviously have them outclassed. Offer them quarter. Otherwise, slaughtering them mercilessly or eating them, you are no better than you claim they are."

"Interesting that you say we have them outclassed when they outnumber us 5 to 1," the woman comments, "Perhaps you are wiser than your average halfling."

"No. We will not offer quarter. The halflings are menaces and have showed themselves to be treacherous beasts in the past. They have killed and eaten our young and infirm. We will dance with you if you try to stop us. They must be exterminated, like vermin, or else when our children scream as they are ripped apart and eaten alive by one of these halflings, we will know it was our fault."

"Help us! Brother...help us please! Don't leave us here to die!" the halfling girl pleads with Cade.

*Meanwhile, the battle continues, 10 of the remaining humans killing halflings as the halflings attack. The last conscious human heads over to their fallen comrade and sweeps away the halflings that are trying to drag him off with her spear.*

(OOC: I agree--I was going to stop it here anyway. This is where they would have engaged if they decided to charge at one side or the other, or the grey render)
