"I've been thinkin' 'bout da trip." Cade says. "Training with the outriders, I've learned a lot 'bout formations and such. I think I got a few good ideas 'n how we should be lined up."
OOC:
Party members:
Cade Level 1 Halfling Fighter
Anton Level 1 Human Ranger
Somac Level 3 Human Barbarian
Tandi Level 1 Human Monk
Rillian Level 2 Human Rogue/Fighter
Scun Level 2 Half-orc Barbarian/Cleric
Dagummit Level 1 Dwarf Fighter
A'jardin Level 1 Human Wizard
Proposed Marching order
Single File:
Somac
Cade (Followed by or Riding Alton)
Rillian
Tandi
Ajardin
Anton
Dagummit
Scun
Reasoning: Somac is the best fighter and has the most HP (I'm assuming based on level and class here, but still), so should be at the front. Cade on his Dog is built to charge into combat, so should be near the front to be able to do so, and he has a reach weapon. Rillian, being a warrior and rogue, can fight as well as notice things. Tandi and Ajardin in the middle. Anton is good with a bow, so can hang back a bit. Dagummit and Scun help keep the rear safe, and hopefully keeps Scun available to heal and/or replace in combat, and possibly cast a prep spell or two first.
Double File:
Somac Rillian
Tandi Cade (Followed by or Riding Alton)
Ajardin Anton
Scun Dagummit
Reasoning: Similar to what I mentioned before in the 1 by. Except now, Rillian is also in front to help spot things. Tandi moves up and Anton moves back a bit to allow for Anton's usefullness with a bow, and Tandi can still be effective in combat. Scun and Dagummit still in back to keep us safe.
Later, when we get a wagon, we can either stick the wagon between the second and third row, or ride the second and third rows outside the wagon and have it be more literaly in the middle.
I'm open to any thoughts or suggestions. Cade is a halfling riding a dog, so on the dog he's as big as a normal human as far as how many squares he takes up.
