They are nigh-mindless savage beasts, and they're all menaces that are better off dead--worse yet, even one render can reproduce more of their kind by itself, so if you've fooled yourself into believing that its not just as deadly just because it bonded to a creature you find 'cuter' than hobgoblins or orcs, think twice about the daughter render. Chances are it bonds to something that wants more people dead, and the villagers'll know it. They'll be grateful that the second render was taken care of."

"As for weregild, I count two of my comrades dead due to assault by your band of thugs--one directly slain by the barbarian and another who was softened up enough to die from the render instead of just being knocked unconscious. Then there's a third who was injured by the bloodthirsty pipsqueak. As for the duel--I am not demanding it and it is not affiliated with me any more. However, worthless as the girl is, I can't just stand by and watch if you decide to all gang up and murder her at once, or something."

Need to hear from Brain wether Scun continues healing party members, also I want everyone to have a chance to respond to the situation before I go and escalate anything. Also, would I have any idea if this weregild is normal, or anything about it? No Knowledge(local).

(OOC: That's understandable--I agree; best to hear from the others before doing sometyhing inflammatory that is escalating. Perhaps at least a percentage of the party might feel guilty over the murders )

Is almost exactly what most people would say about a group of hobgoblins...especially a group that appeared to be attacking a human child. (I could go on, but since this is all mental telepathy...I wont )

Scun turns around after making sure that Rillian isn't dead. "I am just making sure that my friends don't die. If you notice, I fought no Hobgoblin, only the orcs who came charging in. From our point of view, there was a human girl being threatened by both the Grey Renders and a band of Hobgoblins. If you want us to see your side, the least you can do is try to see our side as well. I don't want any more bloodshed here but there may be some if you don't let me save my friends from death."

OOC: that was actually my first reaction as well, but note that I'm trying to avoid pissing them off at the moment.

"But how do I know you're telling the truth. Frankly, the only judge of your character I have is that when presented with vulnerability, you have attacked, and when prevented with strength, now you are willing to negotiate. I'll admit it is possible that you 'made a mistake,' but even kobolds or orcs would try what you are trying right now. But let's be fair. No wand unless someone actually is dying--I have to assume I can't trust you because you have given me no reason to do so, but feel free to bandage any of your injured and to use the wand if any of them have not already stabilised themselves--no sense in letting anyone die needlessly, except perhaps that crazed halfling if you can manage it. Some of my men will do the same, but the rest are watching you. I can make Vrina wait for that."

Scun puts his wand away with an angry motion and continues his walk around, making sure that his friends are not bleeding to death while they talk.
