Renquist is empowered by the death of the devil in front of him. He holds out his hand and dark energy starts to circle his palm.

He spots the chained cambion making his way toward the Fey healer and moves to intercept.

"Now fiend, feel the wrath of Lauto!"

He points his sword at the cambion and dark energy, powered the recently empowered soul, blasts the cambion, leaving it stunned.

Inspired by Dante's last attack, Max switches targets. However, his attack misses the devil. Damn! Turning towards his ally, Dante, stay close. If I can ever hit this guy I can provide an opening in his defenses for you to hit him too.

Ashir continues to engage the cultists on the roof as he stands defiantly in the center of the town square. His staff stabs outwards and twin bolts fly to catch the enemies in the chest. The more injured cultist barely clings to life when suddenly his robes burst into flames that prove to be too much for him.

The genasi moves the sphere into a position to burn the cultist he just hit with the bolt. He risks a glance over his shoulder to check on his allies, "How is it going down there? Do you need some support?" he calls.

Almost starting toward the pain devil, Rocco harrumphs as eldritch bolt drops it. Assessing the situation, he decides that maybe clustering isn't that great idea, but it doesn't seem he can reach anyone else.

He moves toward Dante and Max, coming between Renquist and Haruka before breaking into dead run. One wouldn't say sturdy dwarf can move that fast, but Rocco flies over intervening distance, smashing his axe into the wrathborn. Unfortunately, he seems not used to such speed too and he swings full half of a heartbeat too early, axe swishing uselessly through the air.

"Mage, can you get the eladrin off the roof? And you lass, bring that horse of yours down here! Stop running around like a fly without head!"

Nementah frowns at Rocco, but recalls Primera regardless since arcanist obviously didn't feel threatened by her.

Motioning for the unicorn to come, she calls Primera back over Virgil's head. Primera runs out of spirit world, head lowered, stabbing deep into great demonic beast.

Max, Dante and Virgil feel the protective aura of the noble creature.

[sblock=Rocco]The terrain 3 square from the Chaine Cambion is diffult terrain and so Rocco didn't quite reach the Cambion so he isn't marked by him.[/sblock]

The chains of the Cambion suddnely flare around him and prevent Rocco from reaching him.

Then the Arcanist summon another powerful storm of fire and acid, engulfing Nementah, Rocco and Renquist.

The melee continue to rage on between Max, Dante, the Cambion and the Rage devil.

The Chained Cambion all but fell Renquist.

"This is where you end, bath'Umbara," Dante says, slipping behind the rage devil as it lunges forward to attack him. While his first two swings miss, in a flurry of chain and blade, three more attacks tear the beast down.

As it thrashes on the cobblestones in its bloody death-throes, Dante plants a foot on its back and launches himself into the air, detaching both of the the kamas from his chain and hurling them at the Wraithborn nearby.

He flips backwards off the dying rage devil as one of his thrown kama strikes home and the other arcs past the Wraithborn's head. Dante lands in a crouch with one hand raised to catch both kama as it return, distracted slightly as he re-attaches them to their chain.

OOC: Dante did 3 extra damage with his granted MBA since the enemy was bloodied at the time(Gauntlets of Blood) and he had CA(Light Blade Expertise). Added to the 49 damage Dante did to it this round, that's just enough to kill it. With 8 damage left over for the Wraithborn.

Edit: updated with Max's granted RBA. 7 attacks in a round ain't bad!

As the warlord watches duel assaults on the cambion from Dante and Haruka, Max makes an attack of his own, thrusting his longsword deep into the foe's side. The foe lashes out, barely missing Max, which is exactly what the warlord wanted the enemy to do. In attacking Max, the foe left an opening for Haruka, who is now standing next to it. Now Haruka! But Haruka's attack narrowly misses.
