Adventure: Into the Wild

[sblock=Tactics]
I think our best bet is to focus fire as they come. Kill as many minions as you can now, that's that much attacks (and damage) less. MetaVoid, you are a leader and your damage is fairly small, your job is control and healing, you'll get one round for standard action protection when we gather close enough. That marking power will come in handy, if you can save it for that horn horror. Now get the minion or two if you can.

Ibram, Renquist, if you have bursts or blasts, now is good time esp if they are not party-friendly. Don't think them wasted if you remove few minions and damage/control the archers.

My take on this is:
- kill goliaths ASAP that 2d6+ damage adds up real quick
- get that shard monster (depends on it's speed) - being prone constantly will limit us to charging and we'll be granting CA constantly - this should be first gang-bang from our side
- finally, get the horny

-archers left unchecked they can cause the damage over much of the encounter, but I think we should get them with various area effects and interrupts as they are not heavy hitters (esp if get that DR) and don't have much in the way of hitpoints

Finally, I will sacrifice one standard action if I cannot attack anyone in melee to make some foes via my axe. Be ready to heal if they do some gang-banging

[sblock=ooc] Woot! I read this post this morning and was thinking of asking if it was okay to talk tactics ooc.
first, If I move to pull Dante closer to Namentah, do you trigger OA during surprise round? For some reason I thought no. I don't really care, I'll do it if Mal says I can pull him closer.
second, I have no burst or blast powers (until I totally change this guy around... along those lines, Dear Mal: If there is a magic weapon which may find its way into the hands of a certain half risen paladin, could that said weapon be a longsword over greatsword to the effect that the paladin could then use a shield and be more defender-like? :) )
third, I dont' have an AP unless we got them after last fight.
fourth, if Ibram is afk, can Meta or Neurotic NPC him until he gets back? [/sblock]

OOC: No AP. I usually hand them only after two fight, I don't count skill challenges toward milestone unless they have drained ressources somehow.

Mal, how would this go: Renquist moves 2 squares north and one west, lifts dante and positions him adjacent ot primera. (suffers OA from minion(s)

Well, that's more than one action. Grabbing people is Standard, then moving the person you grabbed is another move. So you suggested a Move (Move next to Dante), then standard (grab), then a move (move Dante).

Right now you only have a Standard Action in the surprise round.

[sblock=ooc] Mal has spoken. I think everyone can get the defense bonus except Dante. If I'm seeing this right, I will shift backwards next to Primera. If that isn't correct, let me know. [/sblock]

Ashir studies the large group of creatures, his eyes scanning the various menagerie of foes. He chances a glance over his shoulder to check on the status of Raiko and the villagers. "Haruka, Max, if things turn sour I want you to run to the portal and let me hold them off for you. My fellow Jadites, let's make our homeland proud" the genasi says resolutely, his face hardened and a peel of ominous thunder is heard in the distance.

Just a reminder to me:

Property: When you use a wizard fire power that can be sustained through this tome, you regain hit points equal to the tome’s enhancement bonus each round that you sustain the power while bloodied. For example, if you used the flaming sphere power with a tome of the replenishing flame +2, you would regain 2 hit points each round you sustain the flaming sphere while you are bloodied. [/sblock]

Haruka smiles sweetly, "A commendable notion, Ashir. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I'm not as confident in your ability to 'hold them off' as you are." She then clears her throat and calls out, "You there! In the back! Try not to all die before we can reach you. It would be very rude of you to raise our hopes for nothing."

[sblock=ooc]Initiative 14.

dimsdale, with Raiko gone Haruka is probably the best person to give attacks to, although her MBA isn't as good as Max's. In addition to the damage shown in my mini-stat block, my MBA also slides the target one square when I hit. If you do give Haruka a MBA, please slide the target so it is no longer adjacent to her.

Mal, are you using the old daily item power rules or the new ones?

Also, hello to the Into the Wild group. I bet things don't look quite as bad as they used to. Sadly, our controller is very far away from the minions. Oh well.[/sblock]

"It won't just be me" Ashir replies with a mischievous grin to Haruka.

[sblock=ooc]
Oh, hi all, yeah Ashir's all big and blasty, he loves big groups of minions, much more effective against then solos. Then again don't count on him rolling above a 7 either[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
FourMonos, I would like to take everyone. Let's wait for a round and see, so we don't loose Dante to arrow barrage. And hope we get to hold the line for a round.

By his public profile, modest didn't post anything since 1st october except chiming in in another adventure to say to his DM thanks for NPCing. What do we do with him?

If he checks in and says he'll use majestic on Dante to move him, I'd like to reserve the right to change the action here.
My suggestion would be to pick one of the defenders (Rocco preferrably since he's 'squishier' in that he get pummeled more often) and use this round to put Canon of Avoidance on him

If I get to NPC him that's what he'll do.

Now in interets of moving on:
[/sblock]

OOC: FourMonos, attack. We'll do what we can on the next round. We go before bad guys anyhow.

Nementah swirls her totem in the air and around one of the thugs swirl several transparent shapes.

Haunting spirits vs Will (G 5 squares S of her) (1d20+7=15) - miss, unless surprise round includes CA
