Dante bows as Patrin pays him. "To kill the umbara'savok is a reward all its own. Tell these ones if there are more to hunt and they will do so gladly."

No problem Patrin. Let us know if you ever need are services again in the future. Listening to Ashir, Max states. Yah. i agree with the wizard. There are a couple things that I forgot to get, and then there's the lass... Max stops himself and then hurries off on his errands.

Haruka tilts her head to the side as Patrin walks away. "You know," she mutters to Ashir, "it occurs to me that the city never actually paid us for culling this place. But I suppose they'll cover that during the ceremony. It will be nice to be properly recognized for our efforts. We better deal with Severus quickly; I don't want to be stuck in the Feywild while Daunton is trying to reward me."

She smiles and addresses the group at large, "I too have some matters that need attending to, but tomorrow we'll meet outside that dive," Haruka's disdain for the Hanged Man is palpable, "and determine how best to topple a fey lord. I look forward to working closer with all of you." She bows politely, then makes her way to the city streets.

Ohh...Crackling Fire is very nice... Ashir likes...

Heh, I thought that might catch your eye. I actually looked over Ashir's sheet before choosing Crackling Fire, just in case you had swapped over to a cold/thunder/acid focus. Clearly, I needn't have worried.[/sblock]

"Thank you, it's good to see the city pays it's helpers. How's the park situation?"

Rocco listens to the answer, but turns as Haruka announces her leave.

"I'll be hanging around in 'the dive' after I see Redboots. See you then."

"Something is different. I need to... think. I'll be at the temple. I will meet you at the tavern in the morning."

Renquist walks off toward the Temple of Lauto.

You go at the Hanged Man on the following day. It's weird; the tavern is mostly empty while the front of the establishment looks like a tornado passed through. Inside, it's not the usual bar tender. Oh well.

One after the other you gather at a table. After usual greeting and chit chats you get down to business. Just how does one kill a Fey Lord, exactly?

Dante brings a tray back from the bar - it has two bowls of stew, a steak, a loaf of bread, three apples, and two pints of ale on it. He walks back to the bar, returns with a bucket, and proceeds to dump everything but a bowl of stew, a few slices of break, and an apple into the bucket.

Virgil coughs, plops down with his neck on the bucket to tip it, then sticks his head in and chews contentedly, sulfurous smoke wafting up around his head.

Dante then turns to the group. "These Fey Lords, they are living and so may be killed, but by what means may this occur?"

Haruka grins mischievously, "Fire worked well the last time I had to kill a fey lord. Granted, she seemed much less powerful then Severus does, but I imagine setting fire to him, his home, and maybe a few acres of the surrounding forest should do the trick. But," she glances at Nementah, "perhaps some of us prefer more precise methods."

Haruka ponders the question for a moment, then sighs in mild exasperation, "I bet that thing that possessed Raiko would know. Although it's probably forgotten that too. But there are a number of such powers: powers like that eagle demigod, or like my-" Haruka cuts herself off, "I mean to say, other fey lords who probably wouldn't mind seeing Severus go. Perhaps we can find an answer among them."

I dont' think many things get up after the head is severed, but feylords may be an exception to that. The problem as I see it is not whether we can kill him, but how to stop him from rejuvenating. I've heard of being bound to their places of power that revive or reform after death unless their link is broken. I believe I even heard something about such a being in Daunton. Some crimelord or the other had the reputation of coming back from the dead.

So I suggest we go there, kill him and then dump his body somewhere outside of his realm preferably into Lady's lap. But there are other ways. Underground, there are many places which form natural prisons. If we can get him there he'll remain."

"It would be easier to fight him outside of his realm, we should find a way to get him out before the fight breaks out. All fey lords are bound to their domains and the greater it is, greater the power of the lord. We would do well to find his rival who would be willing to take over once we weaken him enough."
