[Adventure] KOGANÙSAN (DM: Sanzuo, Judge: TwoHeadsBarking)

"Ahead, it opens into a small cavern, but I can't see much more than that," Halleck said. "After a few more yards, it's pitch black."

I'll light one of my alchemical light-emitters. Someone else will have to hold it, however: I need both hands to make the map.

[sblock=ooc]Looks like lately only a handful of us are posting. I hope the rest of the crew is ok with it.

Also, it seems like we'll be needing a marching order soon. To me, Brenwar-Shrakk-Halleck-Karma-Shale-Kavac seems sensible.[/sblock]

Karma is carefully examining the art left of the skeletons, he soon catches up and agrees with said marching order. "anything active in here is probably not living but magical" he guesses.

GM: Yea, I think I'd like another check-in before proceeding. Weekends tend to be slow, so I may give the others until Monday.

Also, to my cartographer(Someone); Since Shale is making the map, that means that by the end of the adventure I'd like you to produce a map of the dungeon. I would like it to be a drawing of some kind. It can be as crude or as detailed as you want. You could make it in MS paint, Photoshop or you can draw it by hand and take a picture with your cell phone - whatever you need to do to produce a picture.

It doesn't even need to be accurate, but your map will be the map that future explorers will use to navigate the fortress! If you are unable or unwilling to do this, please let me know and maybe someone else will want to.

As the group prepares to enter the cave Brenwar speaks up, "I've got a prayer that will allow us some light." Brenwar says a quick prayer to Palladys and he begins to glow with a bright pure light. "Shall I lead the way then?"

Activate my feat light of order, I now glow 4 bright squares of light.

"Now that is quite impressive," Halleck remarked at Brenwar's ability. "I think you should take the point then."

OOC: If possible, I'd like to stay next to Brenwar.

Karma has a new glint in his eyes, as if he has gained some understanding of the people whom lived here, based only on their art. He doesn't say anything however, and forms up behind the fighters in the middle. His characteristic trademark psionic fist is evident.

GM: Kavac is AWOL until he checks in.

The group crouches and causiously makes their way into the opening. Everyone can smell something damp and slightly acrid coming from the inside. The cavern you enter is carved from unfinished stone, the uneven marks of tools still present on the walls and stone shavings on the floor. Between Brenwar's light prayer and the sunrod from Shale, the room is brightly lit. The ceiling is about 15 feet in height, plenty of headroom. You can now see roughly in the center of the chamber is a stone dais that rises out of the floor and there is another pile of skulls on the southern side. Atop the dais is what appears to be a large stone block with relief carvings on its surface. The only other exit appears to be a tunnel on the opposite side of the chamber.

However, what is more immediately concerning is what appears to be the thick coils of a large serpent of some kind resting around the stone block. Its bony scales are the same ashy color as everything else, so its features are difficult to identify with much detail. At first you think it may be dead, but then you notice one of the coils shift slightly.

[/sblock][sblock=Terrain]The squares with steps are difficult terrain and the top of the dais is 1 square high.
The hallways are 1 square high and the room is 3 squares high from the ground and 2 squares high from the top of the dais.[/sblock]

"Let's be cautious," Halleck whispered. "There could be traps in this chamber."

[sblock=rolls]I'm sure it will be pointless, but here's some perception:

1d20+2=10

Halleck sees some dirt in the shape of dirt, with some shadows.
