Adventure:Land Ho! FWBTHW (DM:H.M.Gimlord,Judge:Ozymandias79)

[sblock=HMG]BTW, the knife fighter should be taking 5 ongoing acid from my sword's daily. I used in last turn.[/sblock]

"NO!"
Jin yelled as the knife fighter dropped Rujah. As the last attack target him, the ronin side stepped, deflecting the blow with his sword. The knife fighter stumbled forward, and Jin kicked him in the back side to reposition the man. "You will pay for that!"

Jin slashed twice with his swords, landing a clean blow with his father's blade. After the attack, he quickly flicked his wrist, whipping the man's blood off the sword.

"Rujah, do not kill this man. We will subdue him and question him," Jin said.

[sblock=Tenchuu]Good Point. Forgot that one. I retconned back to where it began, and he also missed his save, so he'll be going down 5 this turn as well.

BTW: With Jin and Fenwick both scoring hits, the knife fighter is now bloodied.

Still waiting on EB and P8. I will post tonight if I don't hear from them.[/sblock]

ooc: Monday is a holiday, so I cannot promise to post in time after your update. Riardon will most likely use Warlord's Favor on the knife fighter.

[sblock=ooc]No worries... I'm mostly just concerned with the fact that the battle is somewhat close and I can't really help. I've been waiting to post last but I'll go ahead.[/sblock]
Seeing the group continuing to be occupied with itself, Mervin runs up to the door at the top of the stairs and gives it a try. He pauses for a moment at the odd comment about a basement - is that where he is?
[sblock]move: up the stairs, so I guess to N12 or M12, wherever the door is

minor: try the door

standard: depends on what happens. If the door is locked then he'll take total defense again; otherwise I'll post based on what happens.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Tenchuu: Not sure you knew this, but since Fenwick flanks the Knife Fighter, you have CA. On top of this, you have a +3 attack bonus against the KF. This gives you a +12 to hit toal. 10+12=22. This means you hit with both weapons. No? If you don't want the bonus, just let me know, but I'll assume, for now, that you do ;).[/sblock]

Rujah shakes himself back to awareness as Riardon tends to his wound. He manages to stand, but it’s all he can do to get breathing again.

“Why won’t you just die!” The frustrated, bleeding blade rogue stabs at the Dragonborn once more, but is more concerned with distancing himself from the Warden than anything else. The deftly avoids the others around him and manages to slip away. His attacks, however, are ineffective, “You there!” He calls to Mervin, who is trying the door, “You’ll not get away so easy,” and he runs toward the stairs to keep the wizard from escaping.

The two thugs continue their work on Talon and Dayna, who are taking quite a beating under the power of the thief’s maces. Talon attempts to protect her, but an attack from the side prevents him from connecting with her assailant despite Firebyrne’s best efforts to draw his attention.

Rujah finds his feet, and gives chase to the knife-master. Not knowing exactly where he went, he runs blindly down the wine racks, until, rounding a corner, he runs headlong into the rogue. The hammer comes down in a massive arc, but manages only to splinter the railing, missing the rogue by an inch or so.

Mervin tries the door, but it won’t budge. He turns to face the knife fighter as he reaches the bottom of the stairs, when, suddenly, he hears a grating sound from behind the door, and voices. Curious, he turns to see what’s going on just as the door opens to reveal a large, fat, man in a white, food-stained apron leans forward and pours a vat of boiling oil all over the wizard, “Take that’ yah buggar! Nah goh bahck dahn thahr an’ die like yahr s’posed tah!”. Another, much thinner man standing next to him immediately slams the door shut, and rams the bar home, leaving the dumbfounded wizard bleeding and wondering what on earth just happened.

"This is certainly not my day..." grumbles Mervin as he flings some of the hot grease off.
[sblock=ooc]Well that's certainly one tact to take! I assume Mervin never saw those guys before in his life?

Two things: first, please continue to translate for people who speak like the fat guy, if it's not too much trouble. :) Second, I'm not sure if you updated the status thing completely for enemy locations; who is at N10?

Also, and this is a complete technicality, but there's not really anything like "lethal/nonlethal" damage anymore in 4.0 (unless you wish there to be as a DM). Now it's just more like, you tell the DM you knock the guy out when he goes down, and it is so. I think they changed it so you didn't have to track two sets of HP and all that.[/sblock]

[sblock=HMG]I'll take it! Thanks![/sblock]
The ronin growls as the knife fighter escapes their flanking maneuver. With a quick glance over his shoulder, Jin makes a command decision. "Fenwick, follow the knife-man. I'll help Talon." Before he acted, he said, "Fenwick: Alive. I want him alive."

[sblock=OOC]Fenwick can make a charge along that back wall, so it seems the smart move.[/sblock]

[sblock=EB]N10 is the knife fighter. Not sure if you can manage it in character, but it would be helpful if you could move to N11. That would give Fenwick flanking this turn, and it would keep the knife fighter off the stairs, which I think would be harder to deal with.

Of course, even if you can swing it in character, he might kill you. :P[/sblock]

Jin stepped behind Firebyrne and hopped up on the table. Pinning the wounded ambusher, the ronin slashed with both blades. The enemy blocked his father's blade, but his off hand weapon slipped in under the man's guard. The resulting wound was deep, but not mortal.

"Flee while you still can, rogue!" Jin taunted.
