[Adventure]: Land Ho! FWBTHW (DM:H.M.Gimlord,Judge:Ozymandias79)

OOC: Sorry for the delay. I just haven't had the time to fully re-immerse myself. As an FYI, my PP grants boon Bolstering Sigil: Any adjacent ally gains +2 to all defenses. Not sure if that effects any of the hit rolls from last round, or if GM already factored it in. but fellow players, keep that in mind. In fact, you all standing adjacent in front of me might be a good strategy. Except for that trampling at will he has.

GM: this is totally my fault for taking to long to update char sheet and stat block, but my level 11 HP is 94. So I think I should be at 66/94HP

OA Missed, but IA reduced Riardon's damage by 9.

Deal 30 damage and mark with AoS TENT-Gensai, shift back 2 (+1 AC/Ref).

Gensai swung at the beast, but to no avail. However, as the creature struck both he and Riardon, the Swordmage conjured a shield which softened the blow against his ally.

"You'll have to kill me before I let you hurt the others," Gensai stated, unleashing his blade in a fury, slashing the beast deeply. Golden lines appeared on the creature, and when combined with the slash, formed a glyph. Gensai stepped back into a defensive position, and finished, "...if you can."

GM: Voda Vosa: since you posted your move before Rhagast (out of Initiative order), I'll let you retcon Sheng's turn if you want to. Or you can let it stand. Your choice. If you retcon, you will need to reroll all attacks/damage.

OOC: So, was he pushed somewhere during the OA? If so, Phoenix would have summoned the Flaming Sphere above wherever he was at the start of her turn (otherwise she wouldn't be able to attack him with it).

GM: Here's a brief history of what happened:

1. Rhagast moves into Phoenix's square, provoking an OA from Gensai that misses,
2. Rhagast's trample attack misses Phoenix
3. Phoenix IAs and damages Rhagast during the trample attack
4. Rhagast moves into Gensai's square and hits Gensai with a trample attack (this would provoke an OA from Phoenix, but Iron Sky has not posted an OA for Phoenix she used her IA already).
5. Rhagast moves into Max's square, Provoking OAs from Riardon, Sheng, and Max. Riardon hits, and Max has not posted an OA yet chooses not to use the OA so he can use the II during the following move. Sheng has not yet posted his OA.
6. Rhagast's trample attack misses Max because Max teleports away to E20
7. Rhagast moves into Riardon's square and missses with a trample attack
8. Rhagast moves into Sheng's square and hits Sheng with a trample attack
9. Rhagast ends his move at G22-F23 (I now realize I did not update this in my last status post)
10. Rhagast spends an AP to double attack Gensai and Riardon. Both attacks hit and push Gensai and Riardon away
11. Phoenix summons flaming sphere above Rhagast and hits Rhagast with a magic missile
12. Max sends two magic missiles toward Rhagast that push him to the edge of the cliff(J25-K26), where he falls prone (unfortunately out of range of the flaming sphere...for now).
13. Gensai, who now happens to be adjacent to the prone Rhagast, lays Aegis Sigil on him, marks him, and shifts all the way to D26 (one would think that this is cowardly, but it actually makes Rhagast's life extremely difficult :p).

Rhagast is now, and still, prone at J25-K26. @Walking Dad has yet to post Riardon's normal turn, and I am allowing @Voda Vosa to retcon his actions, because he posted them out of initiative order (i.e. before Rhagast's turn).

Clear as mud?

I will post a map tonight, but I'll wait to post a status update until all the moves are in.

Note to self: Welcome to near-Paragon-level combat.

GM: Actually, they are different. OAs and IAs are not the same. OAs can be done once per turn. IAs can only be done once per round. In this case, you don't have to retcon Gensai's move, and Max possibly still has an OA that he can use against Rhagast (unless I'm mistaken).

OOC: I did post my opportunity attack, though I still sometimes fall into 3e terminology and name the attacks of opportunity (AoO). It still failed, though, as was much expected

OOC: in that case, channeling shield is back on, so don't forget to give Riardon some HP back (as it was not in the summary)

Thanks!
