Adventure: Lord Byron's Lost Silver (DM: Tenchuu, Judge: H.M.Gimlord)

Carolina smiles as her dwarven companion comes to his senses... and to her rescue! Shw quickly takes advantage of the opening left by Kruk's approach, and moves in with her dagger glinting in the sunlight.

[sblock=Actions]
Move: 3 squares to F25
Standard: Clever strike vs. Strongheart; hits AC 36 for 21 damage (Roll Lookup)
Spend AP
Standard: Clever strive vs. Strongheart; hits AC 23 for 20 damage (Roll Lookup)

That's two hits for a total of 41 damage.[/sblock]

[sblock=Question]I'm not terribly concerned about it, but I'm just curious as to the legality of a dominating creature ordering an attack on someone whom he doesn't know is there (Carolina had stealth vs. Strongheart, but he ordered Kruk to attack her). Is a simple blanket command like "Get them!" enough? Please don't think I'm arguing... it was an interesting round, and I'm enjoying Carolina's current positioning against the caster... I'm just curious for future references.[/sblock]

Actually, Ajathan Strongheart is in G26. Sorry about forgetting to update the status with new locations[/sblock][sblock=IG]

You bring up an excellent point, and honestly I don't know. I would argue that 'Get them!' or something simple is the only command he can issue in this instance, because he doesn't have LOS on Carolina. So, he couldn't direct them to target you specifically, because he doesn't know where you are. But he can direct them to target the ranged foes behind the wall, and since you are the closest, he hits you.

I spent 10 minutes searching for an officially ruling, but all I found was people discussion how it could or couldn't work, with no official ruling. So, unless someone finds something, or the judge disagrees, my ruling would be LOS is needed to have the dominated character target a specific player, but LOS is not needed to issue a general command like 'attack all of the people behind the wall.' or 'attack all of the women' or something like that.

"Stop that thing from attacking me!" Strongheart ordered, but only Kane was still listening. Too close to charge, he threw the axe at Charina. The attack barely missed.

"Damn you. You'll all kill yourselves before I am through!" Strongheart stepped back, taking an blow to the arm from Kruk as he did. Strongheart raised his bloody hand to take control of their minds, but Wil spotted it, as wasn't going to let it happen again. With quick reflexes, he let loose an arrow that went through the mage's throat. Choking on his own blood, Strongheart collapsed.

"No... no no no no no!" The fat woman said, rambling in fear. "Please, no, don't... I yield! I didn't mean to hurt you... to hurt any of you! If was Strongheart, and the Brother, and the whole lot of them, but not me. They made me do it, I swear, just let me go. I'll say nothing, to no one."

[sblock=Dominated]I don't know if dominated ends yet or not, by rules, but lets just call it ended.
[/sblock][sblock=Mechanics]
Kane Dominated

Ajathan is dead.

Alaria d’Orien

[/sblock][sblock=Adventure Summary]
Motives
Kruk: Find his friend Greggor
Charina: Use the group to collect more bounties (ears)
Everyone Else: Locating the missing Silver shipment for Lord Byron

Summary of Events
1. Bested Pirates en route to Allaria. Traveled on the ship Wind's Will captained by Captain Levenbrech, and mated by Porse and Trig.
2. Arrived in the port, to find it besieged by Lizards from the unending mire. Defeated lizards and met/teamed up with Charina.
3. Journeyed to Geardagas and asked the locals for information with mixed results (link to the leads gathered).
4. Went to the temple of Netari, where the new priest, Father Niris, has been tending to the ill (apparently quite poorly). He led the players into the catacombs, where his zombie minions ambushed. The priest, over confident, rambled on about Hellview (background reference for players).
5. Dealing a mortal blow to the Priest, he says Master De Luccia (First time they have heard the name) cannot be stopped, and he stated that Greggor "will be... among the first... at Hellview." The priest laid dying on the floor with his fallen minions.
6. As they approach Hellview, they encounter the ghost of Sir Alistair Glasston, who begged them to enter the cave and retrieve his lost battleaxe.
7. They entered Hellview, and came across a portal, as well as some guards/workers. It seems they were using zombies to dig a new path near the portal...
8. They step through the portal into a bizarre world. A demon statue looms ahead, with a tall gate behind. The bodies of fallen adventurers, as well as a dead demon, lay about the floor. Wil Triggered the Demon statue trap, alerting the nearby demon's.
9. After a long battle, they slew all of the demons who had come through the hell gate, and they found Sir Alistair Glasston's lost battleaxe. But Greggor was still missing, and there is the question of why the demons were digging.
10. Hergunna departed the group to alert the local militia, while the others pressed ahead North, trying to find the source of the demon-aligned miners, as well as the lost silver.
11. They came upon a wall blocking the road to the mine. Mounted knight Brother Arleas leads a band of outlaws and zombies to defend the mine entrance. After slaying the Knight and half his men, the remaining wizards and archers closed the gate. The battle continued until only the fat temporal wizard, Alaria, remained alive. She pleaded for her life to be spared.

Kruk turns to the woman with a snarl You better talk lass or I'll spill your flabby guts before you have a chance to make the wrinkle face of yours. WHERE'S GREGGOR! Anger is radiating from the dwarf as he slowly walks towards the woman with his axe in hand holding it tightly as if he intends to strike the foe.

ooc: double move to j15

"I... Please, I don't know who the hell this Greggor is? I swear to you, I've never heard the name before today."

[sblock=Insight 20]
She's being truthful.

Wil hold out his hand towards his ally as he catches his breath. Hold good dwarf, answers will come with calmer hearts. He then lifts his bow and begins to strum a soothing song.

OOC: Song of Rest to heal an extra +7 with each surge
Wil will spend 2 to heal 44hp
Try diplomacy soon

-''If anyone needs to scare her, point out that I'm a drow and will have her devoured by my pet spiders as I sacrifice her soul to Akneth. I would do it myself, but I always get the giggles half way through the routine.'' whispers Charina helpfully.
