[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

[sblock=status questions]So I'm no longer swimming or have ongoing damage, and I think Pis is no longer bloodied - is that right?

Also, the hobgoblin's AC is at most 26, right? (And he's marked.) Did Jarren's attack hit?[/sblock]
[sblock=ooc]Woohoo! We got 'em on the ropes now! :) 16 is going to wait until after Talkrai again if that's cool w/ you, LadyLaw - I want to make sure I give you flanking if you want it and then I'll push the warforged away so that he falls down and takes a little more damage. My plan after that is to hulk smash the hobgobby, unless he dies of natural causes (like, for instance, arrows in his lungs) before that. ;)[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Status corrected... I'm aiming to work at least 50 hours this weak, so when I got time, I'm updating, but i might miss things. Thanks again EB.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=ooc]No problem! Also I edited my post and you may not have seen it, but I was just wondering if Jarren's attack hit.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Yeah, Jarren hits. Somehow, I saw 13, not 23, so I first thought he had missed.

@Antithetist: Why your roll show 11 damage, but when I look at the roll, it tells 10 (3 + 7)? I'll count 10 damage unless you explain me where come from that last point of damage. [/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Reaction]Reaction to getting hit, use Yield Ground and shift to E35[/sblock]

Ryda grunts as the axe grazes her thigh, filling her with her heritage's fury. Using the momentum of the swing, she swivels around and glides up onto the bridge. FINE! You want my attention, you got it! she yells, firing one arrow after another. She then continues across the bridge and tucks in next to Jarren.

[sblock=Mechanics]Standard: Twinstrike (with Primeshot) 1d20+13=24 1d12+5=11 1d20+13=15 1d12+5=16 1d6=6 most likely 1 hit, 1 miss for 17 damage to the Genasi.
This triggers Predator armor, boosting AC to 22 against the Genasi's attack.
Move to G32.
Summary: Ends in G32, did 17 damage to AC 24 and another 16 if AC is only 15.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]As long as we're correcting things, I think Pis is in the wrong square. Shouldn't he be in G35? I'm looking for my last action post now.

Velmont, Pis has a rope w/ Grappling hook. If I toss the grappling hook and nab the bridge or the statue (not sure on target yet) my DC would be a 10 right? How hard is it to use the bloody thing?[/sblock]

Talkrai continues to bash away at the enemy warforged relentlessly. She is not dissuaded by it healing itself. She knows that it is like a wall, standing in the way of reaching the more dangerous opponents. As another of her blows lands true and takes a chunk from it's armor, she finds more healing energy to send at her companions. She directs it toward Ryda, as she tumbles away from the Genasi.

[sblock=Mechanics]Standard: Energizing Strike (Augment 2) on warforged at B33 - 1d20+12+2=30 vs. AC for 2d10+7=17 damage
Effect: Ryda can spend a healing surge[/sblock]

[sblock=Ryda's stats]This is post Talkrai's healing. As a note, I was never actually bloodied, Jarren's Spirit OA healing 5, plus the 7 THP is basically negated the 12 damage, leaving her at the 26 she started the turn with. I'll include the +5 Temp HP since you have Halforc resilient triggered, but I thought I'd correct everything.

Also, I used my AP this fight (first round) so I should be at 0

These stats are correct, and what my status should be:

Ryda– Half Orc Ranger 5
Passive Perception 19, Passive Insight 14
AC 21(22 for Genasi), Fort 16, Reflex 19, Will 15
HP 38+5/51, Bloodied 25, Surge Value 12, Surges 7/8
Speed 6, Initiative +7
Action Points: 0, Second wind
At-Will Powers: Twin Strike, Nimble Strike
Encounter Powers: Evasive Strike, Cut and Run, Yield Ground, Furious Assault
Daily Powers: Split the Tree, Spitting Cobra Stance

[SBLOCK=OOC]I have corrected your position.

A rope is not as stable as the border while you are trying to fight against the current who tries to push you away. And the fact you are wet doesn't help either. But you can still use the water to push you out of the water. I would put a circumstance penalty to those fact. DC: 12

If you want to use that, you need to pick it up from your backpack (Move Action) and throw it (Standard Action). Throwing the Grapple will be hard for you as you have only one hand and the water will hinder your throw, so it would be an Athletic Roll DC: 10 with a -5 penalty for you.

Anyone else can spend these action and would have no penalty to the roll.

Those are homemade rule made on the fly. If anyone have some official rules regarding grappling hook and use in or out of combat, you can point me out the information.

@Mez: Miss Anti telling he was healing you. I really need to work less :p [/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC - Rolls last round]Sorry for making your life harder by posting misinformation, Velmont. :p

I did indeed post that I had got a 13 on the attack at first, even though the actual result was 23 - I noticed this and edited it. Then there was the damage; that basic math fail passed me by completely, good catch![/sblock]

[sblock=OOC - Tactics]Bob, if you aim to whomp the hobgoblin this round so that he stays whomped, I'll focus on getting you healed up a bit.[/sblock]
