Adventure: Love Bites

Kathalia makes another attempt with her bow - this time it appears as if the arrow might actually hit the dragon, but as it happens, this is only because the dragon in front of her is much larger than it actually appears. ( Ranged basicmisses again.)

"Oh, poop!"

Kathalia tries to move into a better position, hoping she can land at least one shot before Mikara's wounding shot wears off (Move 5 squares south)

Atreus' bravado obscures Mikara's line of sight.

"Out of the way flatears! That thing may be slowed down, but he's still alive."

She runs around Atreus and quickly finds a free channel the beast. On shot flies wide despite careful aim.

"Dammit, Whistlebritches! Let the ranger have dibs on the dragon! She knows what she's doing!"

Hacker fires another arrow. [1d20+2=15 v. AC]]

Then, the heads for cover behind the cactus. [Move to J16.]

"Its bite is acidic, in case anyone can do anything about that," he comments offhandedly.
“Ooh, I know a drink that’ll do that to you. Make your bite acidic, that is, not neutralize it.”

The warrior flings javelins away with some restraint, as if he’s actually trying not to mess up the dragon too badly. As a result, it turns out he doesn’t deliver any meaningful damage with his latest throw.

“I’m gonna’ name it Pincushion Pup. And if it survives and behaves, I’m gonna leash it, and pet it, and feed it, and take it for walks, and play fetch with it, and care for it, and... and...”

Woe sighs, completely lost in daydreams.

“You think it can serve as a steed? I think it can serve as a steed. Girls love a sweet ride.”

Minor: Draw javelin.
Standard: Woe throws at the dragon, hitting AC 17 for 6 damage (with long range taken into account).
Move: Draw javelin.

Woe pilfered javelins from 3 guards way back at Marn Mansion, but I’m actually not sure how many he got in total (not that I think shortage will be an issue).

" And let you Fey have all the fun, I think not " and Atreus carefully takes aim, looking for a weak-spot in it's scale as soon as Mikara is out of the way.

" There! " and the assassin fires his bolt, striking the dragon hard but without the desirable effect of his precious poisoned bolt. He does not however stay in the dragons path and decides to move into a better position, closer to the others but before so he shouts to Mikara " Thou should concentrate on thy own bravado elf, for I am sure the dragons next target would be thee "

Free Action: Shroud Dragon
Standard: Shoots at the dragon with his repeating crossbow. Hit AC 23 and does 14 damage. The bolt is poisoned and makes a secondary attack to inflict ongoing damage 5. Hits fort 19, so the dragon is not poisoned :(.
Move Action: moves 6 sq's back to [T,16]

"What?! No! How can I make a hat from its head and an umbrella bucket from its leg if we don't kill it? Maybe it's female with babies, so everyone can be happy."
