Knoepf reaches for his lantern, only to discover it is not with him. He turns his head to see that it is faithfully providing light...at the other side of the room. By the God!... the cleric states in an irrated voice as he moves quickly to retrieve it. After collecting his breath he settles down. I have a light source if we choose to use it. I think we need to act quickly as by now our archer friend has no doubt told the warlock of are unwelcomed arrival.

Vex shook her head at the elf's idea. "He went for the exit, running for his life," she started, pointing the way they had come from. "We want to go that way," she continued, now pointing to the elaborate door in front of them. "Now we just need to find a way to open this."

>If the genasi has not been searched (for a key or similar implement), Vex will do so. If he has been searched and yielded no key, Vex will instead search around the door area to determine how difficult it would be to open (ie. is it locked, or just closed? Would the tactics we used on the door downstairs work here?)
>If needed, Perception roll to search: 1d20+ 9= 13; roll Roll Lookup

When the Genasi is searched, the group finds surprisingly little on him. The same goes for the Eladrin. The Genasi has no armor and a longsword, and the Eladrin has chainmail, a short sword, a longbow and arrows. They do not even have any money on them.

It appears that Ladoran didn't trust these guys any further than just being guards.

When Vex checks the door, it appears to be locked. It does not appear to be barred from the inside like the door downstairs.

"Well, no key... Does anybody have lockpicks?" Vex asked as they looked over the door. "Or should we just knock?"

>Just a ping to try to keep us moving forward

Wait...Let me take a closer look at this. Knoepf examines the door more closely in order to find clues as to how to open it.
