(Adventure) Rivenblight's Castaway [Creamsteak judging]

ooc: Nice offer WizWm. And have fun, where-ever you are going.

Hey GW, hows things? For what its worth GW, I'd happily put Jaan in your more than capable hands. But if you aren't comfortable with ghosting Velbrik, and TH would prefer one of the players to do it, I'm willing keep an eye on Velbrik if thats OK with you, WizWm.

Eh, not too bad... didn't get the job at my FLGS, so I'm kinda bummed, but them's the breaks. How're you? I appreciate the compliment, btw. :) To be completely honest, I really don't like playing other peoples' characters, because I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to play them true to the character or even the player.

ooc: Italy is good.

I know what you mean GW, about playing other people's characters. Its a bit daunting. But if someoner would prefer see their character stay involved rather than drift along in the shadows, I'll do my best to help them out. I can promise I'll get it right, but I'll try.

In her sleep, Ioleta rolls onto her back, eyelids jumping with some dreaming vision. It seems an unpleasant one and she occasionally utters a muffled cry or whimper. She starts awake with a low cry, hand groping for the dagger concealed in her waistband before she realizes just where she is and who she's with. She quietly unsheathes the dagger in any case, sitting very still and silent, listening with all her might to the sounds of the forest. She makes out a shape moving a short way away and she rolls quietly, crouching low, onto the balls of her feet, tense, taut, heart beating in her throat. Velbrik? She peers at the shape and firelight limns the features of the watching bard. She swallows and sighs, collapsing sorely onto her blankets and flipping the dagger back into its hidden sheath. She lays on her side staring off into the darkness. Exhausted though she is, sleep is not quick to come.

OOC: Lots of travel happening. Italy... nice. Starting late next week I'm going to be out of pocket until the third week of July - getting married and honeymooning! I had an idea that if enough folks are out when TH gets back, he might could DM some interactive dreams or something, just to keep the thread moving and interaction happening. Certainly anyone who's interested could ghost Ioleta, though I understand any reluctance. If folks don't feel comfortable ghosting we might just agree to take a scheduled break and come back to 'Castaway towards the end of July... Just a thought.

Right, am back.

As I understand it, WizWrm's out until the 5th of July. About the end of the month, Sparky leaves until the third week of July. Everyone else is still about.

I'm fine with resuming or postponing or doing any combination of ghostings you all are comfortable with. I'm around the rest of the summer, for the most part. Thoughts?

ooc: There is no way I could justice to the emotional vibrancy and sparkle of Sparky's Ioleta. Strong silent types are my sad lot, with an occasionally gruff silent type or weak silent type for variety. :( I am working to rectify this however. :)

I think the game is really good, so I'm happy to continue. But things have been a bit draining recently, so a postponement would also be good. Actually, I think that this would be my vote if we had to choose.

the head of the dog.

Ioleta eventually succumbs again to sleep and, this time, her sleep is the sleep of one completely exhausted - quiet and deep. She doesn't utter another sound until woken to stand her watch.

OOC: On the contrary doghead, Xiao was strong, but not especially silent. I'm sad Oliver never got to meet him. :)

Sorry about the pause just as you've joined us Otakkun, but I count it as a good piece of luck that the group can take a needed breather for life's events. :) Plus, it'll give TH even more time to round up some sufficiently rat bastardly DM things to do to us.
