(Adventure) Rivenblight's Castaway [Creamsteak judging]

ooc: It doesn't make sense to leave Ioleta wounded. It just leaves her vunerable, and I think we are going to need all the strength we can muster when we catch the bandits. So Jaan will ask Velbrik to heal Ioleta fully if he can.

I can't think of any way to move faster, we shall just have to try pushing on and hope for some good rolls. Can Garret tell how far ahead they are?

"Well then, shall we keep on tracking them as before? Just let me know once you've done for the day and we'll rest, and then track, until we find your friend":

Ioleta's eyes scan the treetops and underbrush even more acutely than before. Her head still aching from the trap she rushed in to. She checks the short sword at her hip and steadies the sling stone in its perch. She swallows as she trails along behind Garret.

"I think we should keep moving. Troi is in danger and these bandits don't need an even greater lead than they already have."

OOC: Press on.

No sooner has the resolution been made to press onwards than Garret proceeds to not only lose the trail, but get totally, utterly lost. Three hours and much stumbling around in the woods later, Garret figures they're in about the right place, but they still can't find the trail, and he is rapidly running out of energy.

Garret just made up for all of his previous good luck. I made CON checks for Jaan and Garret, since they're the only ones doing "work." Garret took 5 nonlethal damage the first check, 4 damage the second check, and no damage the third check. Jaan took 1 damage the first check, and 2 damage the third check. Press on, or rest? Resting for an hour removes 1 point of nonlethal damage per HD, but until you get proper sleep you'll still be making con checks.

Spoiler text (my own notes, please don't read):
Garret succeds on 4th survival roll, fails 1st two con checks (5 and 4 damage), succeds 3rd, fails 4th (3 damage). Jaan fails the 1st (1), succeeds at the 2nd and 3rd, and fails the 4th (2).

"Damn..." is all that Garret cares to say as he kicks a chunk of dead wood from the floor. it has been almost a minute since he was forced to stop due to fatigue and he still hasn't been able to find out why did he get lost in the first place.

Actually, he did know, but he just didn't want to admit it. It had been luck what had brought them here in the fist place, not his seasoned skills. He was still a ranger in the making, and that fact was what had them loosing time and energy right now. Well, at least he had learned a lot so far.

"It makes no sense to continue for now ... I'm sorry but I'm all out of energy and ideas. The track has been more confusing since he found that trap and I need to rest for the night. Let's hope that a night of rest gives this eyes of mine some boost so that we can shorten the distance to your friend"

OOC: The sooner I get that 2nd ranger level, the sooner tracking will be made easier ;)
