As the horror crunches down on his ally with its terrible jaws Kane throws up a protective ward that lessens the damage considerably, however his ally still finds himself in a desperate situation.

No Kane does not have the creature marked. He has not been close enough and has needed his minor action to sustain the Sphere.

When he uses the sphere is defending ability is reduced considerably unless someone can position him to be able to mark without having to move.

Immediate Interrupt: Chanelling Shield reduces damage from bite by 9 dmg. Kanes next successful atk before ENT deals +4 dmg.

Lerrick ignores the pain from the vines lashing out at her as she watches in horror the monstrosity's viscous attack against Cyr. Shifting away from the adjacent vine, she then moves closer to her ally in order to use her gift, the power to heal. When see finds a suitable place to perform her magic she mumbles softly under her breath while briefly closing her emerald eyes. With an abrupt motion with her hands thrusting forward, followed by quickly upon her eyes (now bright silver), she sends a wave of healing warmth that surges quickly through Cyr's body, healing many of his wounds.

Healing Potion in one hand and crystal orb in the other, Lilli tries to lure the tentacles and the Horror into one spot with an illusion of golden... er...severed legs, but it looks like the creature isn't terribly interested.

The warlock seems to be willing to die this afternoon as he calmly strolls toward the monster and ends next to one of the half-invisible vines. He calls upon the darkness from above and always hungry Haddar responds. The gateway to unearthly cold of stellar space opens making the passage difficult and dangerous.

"Vermitrax, see if you can activate one more pillar, the effects are getting stronger! Cyr, I cannot free you, if you can try to prevent the beast from moving! But, for your ownsake, I'd advise you get out of there!"

Slide the horror 1 down to S9-T10 - this is important ONLY if the a) phased vine misses (and is thus destroyed on its turn) AND b) horror goes before the vine (thus, I can pull it up if it submerges - through difficult terrain)

As Martelai focuses on the monstrosity, phasing vine lashes forth, barely managing to touch the warlock, yet
its attack is deflected by multiple layers of mystical shields and curses around Martelai.

OOC: damage as I see it: 32 + 5 temps -16 (25 reduced further by Kane defensive shield 9) = 21 + 12 (healing word) +13 (surge) +3 regeneration = 49

Cyr shrugs at warlocks comment.

With beckoning gesture he vanishes from monsters grasp, only single gauntlet marks the place where he was held while he reappears next to Vermitrax with a *PLOP*.
Raising his staff, he makes cutting motion and myriad blades of astral fire cut into the monster while at the same time parrying attacks against Martelai.

Just to be sure, he pulls out a healing potion and prepares it.
