Kane seems to manage well enough with the fatiguing trek through the swamp. The group seems to have gone deep enough in. With a simple cantrip he projects the groups footprints further into the swam ahead of the group and impresses the group's scent upon the false trail. It would only last for an hour ... but that would have to be enough. "F-far enough" he stutters. "Now we hide. W-we w-wait. G-go any f-further and w-we walk into w-what the hunters f-fear. If the t-trolls f-find us... we w-will have to f-fight." Kane looks about the group hoping that one of them will catch onto the idea and help find somewhere nearby to hide. From his expression as he looked about the group of spellcasters, he wasn't too hopeful. He began looking himself, a place that did not lead towards the hungry trolls. If they found somewhere he would use his magic to erase their trail behind them.

Will it be enough to throw off hunters and trolls is difficult to tell, but it might provide at least some cover if things get ugly. While sure he can hide himself quite well, Kane is not so sure about rest of his party - hiding place and his magic will help, but at least part of work is on them.

if party wants to hide, it will require group stealth roll. Kane doesn't have roll (he seems to actually be able to hide ), and everyone gets +4 for hiding place Kane found and +2 for his use of magic.
"Good job, Kane! Now, Lilli if you could hide our passing with some clever illusion and you, Vermitrax, put some convincing undisturbed skeleton on the way, we could maybe enjoy the view of trolls passing us by and attacking the hunters."
Martelai enters the cave drawing shadows around him as he goes and melds into the protruding roots near the left-hand wall.
Rule question: does cursing someone counts as an attack in a sense they immediately know your location (it's not an attack power). It would probably cancel surprise round as creatures automatically know the effects that affect them and would know someone cursed them and would be wary, but would that reveal me?
Cyr looks over at the hiding place and removes one of his gauntlets which remains solidly hanging in the air. He grabs a branch and hitches his robe up. Walking carefully over firmer parts of the ground, he branch swipes the trail behind him.
"If you can do a better job of this, Kane, I can give you the gloves for the use."
"Looks to me Martelai, that Kane's got that in hand. I might be able to cloud the senses of anything coming near to us for a brief while, but it'll get all you too. Still, better than nothing."
Lilli's Mage hand suddenly spirits her crystal orb away, quickly unwrapping from its case a beautifully decorated small harp; carved and painted feywild flowers entwine along the woodwork. Lilli looks like she's about to play it as she tucks herself into the cave's shadow.
