The specter reappear behind Radtash, who is unable to evade his drain.

But in face of two enemies, the group quickly dispatch them, putting the kenku out of combat and banishing the specter from this world. once that done, the group take a quick rest and looks at there wounds before deciding what they'll do next.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Sneak vs. AC on Gruff (1d20+9=27, 1d4+6=9) Hit.

Specter vs. Refl on Radtash (1d20+7=24, 1d6+2=8) Hit.

Than you quickly dispatch the remaining enemies, as they are pretty weak now. Combat over![/SBLOCK]

Radtash circles around and sniffs some bedding near the fire, and eventually settles down in a warm spot. His tongue lolling out of his mouth and his breath panting, he looks content but weary. Thank you for getting that Specter off of me, friends. I require a few minutes of rest to fully recover myself.

Eventually he stirs, and trots around the room, quickly examining the bodies, tombs, crypts, and the dragon skeleton.

[SBLOCK="Mechanics"]Radtash takes a short rest and spends one healing surge, regaining 9 hit points.

Perception check to search the room: 1d20+8=20 (Radtash will not try to open sealed crypts or tombs yet, but will search their interior if someone else is opening them)[/SBLOCK]

Arkavas looks from one companion to another with an apologetic face.

"I feel downright awful, I got us into this mess in a way that could have gotten you all killed."

[sblock=OOC]
Arkavas helps to look around the room
During the short rest, he'll spend a healing surge to get one of his Infusions back.

Valemont:
Can we have a total of 20 minutes game time rest?
If so, Arkavas will generate another Healing Infusion and spend two more healing surgest to get himself up to max.

Tinwe & Erekose13

Are you guys OK on surges to get back up to speed, or do you need some help?

[SBLOCK=OOC]Healing Infusion: As I see it. You still have your two healing infusion, but there power are expended. At the end of this short rest, anyone in the team could have expended an healing surge to refuel one of your infusion, or both if someone is willing to give 2 HS, or two person is willing to give 1 HS each.

I think it is a great way to spread the healing surge expenditure in a team. If someone was unharmed during a fight and both infusion was spent on someone else, that person could contribute one or two HS for the team, rather to have someone with no more HS and another one with 8 more to go...

That makes me think I need to review the combat to see if I have reduce the number of healing surge of anyone who have been affected by your infusion.

Short Rest: I'm not a fan of multiple short rest. I find it abusive to do so and then use healing word/infusion multiple time during the multiple short rest and still have them on next combat.

But I've always allowed people to spend such encounter power before the short rest if they still have them, or before the next encounter, but in that case, they would not have them for the coming encounter.

In other word, a short rest (for me) doesn't have a fixed time, it's just a moment from a few minutes to a few hours where people have a time to relax, chat, walk, think, etc...[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Valemont]

In a single short rest I can either:
  1. Spend a healing surge to get 10HP
  2. Spend a healing surge to replenish one healing infusion and use it.
  3. Ask someone else to spend a healing surge to replenish a healing infusion and use it.
  4. Forego a short rest and take a milestone for an AP
As I understand I can only do one of these. Is that true?

If so, I will spend a healing surge to replenish one healing infusion, since I've got 5 left, I don't need to ask for someone else's. I'll wait until radtash and gog post before I decide who to use it on though. I'm not too keen on starting the next encounter nearly bloodied:erm:, but if they can't get back up to max, I would help them before myself.

[SBLOCK="Short Rest (from D&D Compendium)"]Spend Healing Surges: After a short rest, you can spend as many healing surges as you want. If you run out of healing surges, you must take an extended rest to regain them.[/SBLOCK][SBLOCK="Healing Infusion (from D&D Compendium)"]During a short rest, you or an ally can spend a healing surge to replenish one of the infusions expended.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]
So, in that case, I can spend 2 healing surges to get back to max, and an additional healing surge to replenish a single infusion. Right?

[SBLOCK="OOC"]My guess would be that you can create as many healing infusions as have expended, as long as one healing surge is spent per infusion created.[/SBLOCK]

Sweetness continued to prowl around the room once all the kenku were dead (and the spectral beings were dead again). She took the time to search the kenku bodies, and poked around the room as well, looking at each of the room's exits. Despite the exertions of combat, she seemed undaunted and restless.

OOC: After 2 encounters without an extended rest, we ought to all be up for a milestone- if so, I think that gives us each an AP, and allows Sweetness to recharge her expended Daily item power. At least that is how I understand matters- I haven't actually been in a 4E game that got to a milestone yet. Sweetness will take a short rest, if only to recharge Encounter powers

Sweetness will also attempt to Aid Radtash on a Perception roll for a search of the room; 1d20+4= 18 (success); roll Roll Lookup
