OOC: Seeing the new circumstances, I'd like to change Nars's action if possible.
New action instead of putting away crossbow and drawing swords: Double move toward animated armor near Persephone. If the animated armor has reach due to the halberd, Nars will move as close as possible without provoking an attack of opportunity.
(AC: 17)

Gorefoot - Gnome Barbarian 1

Roaring into action, Gorefoot focuses on dropping the animated armor in front of him. He swings his sword in a swooping arc around his head and strikes for the back of it's legs. He seems completely unaware of the second suit of armor.

OOC: Power attack for 1, so +4 to hit (+6 if I'm flanking) and 1d10+6 for damage.

Also, if Persephone says anything, or if anyone mentions the second suit, Gorefoot will remember that he offered to protect Persephone, and try to get between her and the suit ASAP (next round).

Nars, crossbow in hand, runs up to the 2nd Animated Armor. (Halberds do not provide reach.)

Gorefoot slams his greatsword into the animated armor (d20=18)+4=22 for (d10=10)+6-10 hardness. He rips a chunk of the armor apart, causing it to rock back and forth before it steadies and resumes its attack.

ooc: Thanks for the info. I was confused by the description of different elemental effects v. hardness, and thought that might mean other magical effects weren't effected by hardness. Ruling stands for this battle, though. It will take a double move to get around the furniture and across the room (about 40' of movement.)

Fant looks behind her and curses. Should've stayed put. "Ishmael, cover the princess! The rest of you, stay here!" She follows her own advice, judging Gorefoot and the rest capable of taking out the first suit, and she, Ishmael, Nars and Persephone can take care of the other. Persephone's demonstration of her magical prowess impresses Fant, but the thought is at the back of her mind, overruled by more immediate concerns.

Rodimus eyes the armor for a moment, especially paying attention to the fact that it shrugged off most of the gnome's sword-strike.
He then steps closer to it, and tries to give it a nice bear hug.

OoC: 5ft-step and start grapple, still the same bonuses

Ishmael AC 21

Heeding Fant's commands, Ishmael withdrew from the enemy in front of him. He then made his way to the other suit of armor, trying to position himself between Persephone and their newest foe.

"Behind me, Princess" He said as calmly and as firmly as he could (given the circumstances) as he faced the armor twice his size.

As Fant closes with the suit, she considers. The armor seems resistant to all but the strongest of blows. So perhaps the most efficient way to neutralize the threat is not to simply hack at it. She lunges with her longsword, but instead of simply attempting to skewer the thing she tries to twist the halberd of of its hands.

ooc: Disarm check with Improved Disarm at +8 (+1 BAB, +2 strength, +1 masterwork weapon, +4 feat). The suit will get a +4 because it's holding its weapon two-handed and another +4 because its weapon is larger than mine.

Rodimus steps forward, blocking the animated armors entry into the room and attempting to grapple it. Due to his intense training, Rodimus is able to close in to grapple without drawing an attack. Ranged Touch attack: (d20=7)+3=10. Rodimus grabs the armor, and attempts to hold it. Rodimus (d20=2)+7=9 vs. (d20=1)+1=2. Stepping into the narrow doorway, Rodimus grapples te animated armor.

Fant heads back to protect Persephone, but does not have sufficient time to also make an attack this round. Ishmael follows, and the two of them manage to flank the animated armor.

Persephone

"Eeeek!" shrieks the princess as the intimidating new opponent appears and comes for her. She will take a few steps back, seeking safety behind Ishmael, then launch a second magic missile, the first having seemed effective.
