(Adventure) The Burning Tower (Knight Otu Judging) [Concluded]

Nars will drop his crossbow, draw his shortswords, and dart his swords in at the animated armor in an attempt to help Lady Fant get a better swing at her opponent.

OOC: Attack bonus +2. Nars will "aid another" on Lady Fant's attack.

The armor hits Morulas for 4 points of damage. A hard blow, but the doubty Ranger remains standing.

Holding the cut with his off hand, his blade still at the ready despite the fact that the construct was wrestled down by Rodhimus - Morulas assumes a more defensive stance, letting his blue-and-silver eyes carefully study the scene played out before him (including the second Animated Armor walking in).

----

Ooc:

Somewhat at a loss at what to do since I cannot do much against the Armors.
Morulas will remain where he is and take a total defense for one round at least.
[AC: 19] and look around for something/anything that might prove useful or has changed unnoticed by the others... like whats the puppet doing, has the door opend, etc..? [Spot: +5; Search: +6]

Morulas takes up a defensive stance. The puppet is still sounding off its repetitive alarm. The major change is that both doors are now open, if you want to move into the study and look around or possibly head east to check out the kitchen.

Persephone takes a 5' step, placing Ishmael between her and the enemy, and then uses another set of magic missiles. This set she sends into the enemy that recently menaced her, rather than at the wounded one (?) for 9 damage.

The first armor tries to wrestle free from Rodimus, (d20=16)+1=17 v. (d20=14)+7=21 abd fails, being quite outclassed.

The second armor swings at Fant, (d20=4)+2=6 but misses.

Nars fails to aid Fant in her attempt to disarm (d20=7)+2=9.

Gorefoot is next...

Gorefoot - Gnome Barbarian 1

Finally noticing that Persephone is in danger, but wanting to heed Fant's order, Gorefoot hacks with all his might at the grappled suit hoping to finish it off.

OOC: Power attack for 1, +4 to hit, 1d10+6 damage, and then he'll take a 5-foot step towards the other door.

I'm not going to have great access to a computer for the next few days, so if I don't post, Gorefoot will follow Fant's orders, only raging if absolutely necessary.[\i]

Ishmael loosed his shield (move action) and held Violet in two hands. Sparing none of his strength, he swung at the animated armor before him. He let loose a war cry as his warsledge fell.

ooc: Power attack 2.
Warhammer +4 1d6+6
AC drops to 19 w/o shield.

Gorefoot swings at the grappled armor, hitting for 4 points.

(Rodimus goes here.)

Across the room Ishmael swings and hits for 2 damage.

Fant attempts to disarm the armor and fails, but retains her own grip on her weapon.

Fant persists in trying to wrench the armor's weapon of its hands- while her success is far from garaunteed, a small victory quickly capatalized upon may well end a battle that would otherwise consist of whittling their opponents down to size.

ooc: Nars, if you use TWF while "aiding another" the chance of succeeding once is greater, and you might even succeed twice! (Does that give me a +4, or does that bonus not stack?)

Persephone

Persephone rushes over to the the doorway where the monk grapples the suit of armor, pulling out her rod as she runs. Setting down her crossbow, she intends to place her Imovable Rod over the armor's neck or chest and press its button, therefore helping to pin it to the floor. This will probably take an additional round, or even more, as she is somewhat scared of the suit of armor and will pause, if necessary to find a good time to take the action.

"Here I come, Rodimus! Let me help you!"

"Here I come, Rodimus! Let me help you!"

Seeing the comely Sorceress race across the room intent on helping the Rodmus with the Animated Armor, he takes another look at the wrestling pair before his feet.

"A strange way to fight, rolling around on the floor, but doubtlessly useful against this wizards obstinate creations."

With a shrug, he trys to make himself useful, pinning one of the Armors flailing limbs or something similar.

Ooc:

Morulas will try to aid Rodimus in his grapple, if thats even possible (?).
If not, Morulas will likely find out just how different the Half-Orcs fighting style is to his own.

Since I am no longer on total defense:

you can attempt to aid your friend as a standard action.

Interesting idea, but I'm afraid it won't work. Aiding another doesn't replace a melee attack, it's a standard action.
