(Adventure) The Burning Tower (Knight Otu Judging) [Concluded]

Rodimus lets go of the armor for a moment and shrugs down his backpack to the floor, and then tries to grap at it again. "Rope in backpack," he says to Fant as he attempts to wrap his hands around the armor again

OoC: So a bit of over-confidentness on Rodimus's part, ending the grapple to drop his backpack before initiating another grapple.

Fant swings at the eastern armor, trying to disarm it. With Nars having shifted his attention to assist Gorefoot, her efforts are ineffective this time.

Morulas tries to pin the western armor for another round. It manages to slip his grip a bit, and while the two are still grappling it is not pinned.

Persephone looks next door, exploring the study. She sees a desk and a few comfortable chairs, and a rack on the wall containing what may be some of the more standard items the wizard has available for sale. A bookshelf full of books, and a pedestal upon which the armor until recently stood. Looking more closely at the rack, Persephone notices it contains several scrolls and potions. Two more paintings adorn the walls in the study, and the room is lavishly carpeted.

The eastern armor takes a swing at Fant, but with a quick parry and a sidestep she avoids the swing.

The western armor tries to escape Rodimus's pin, but fails.

Nars succeeds in drawing the armor's attention away from Gorefoot, setting it up for a blow from the gnome barbarian.

Gorefoot acts on this opening, hitting the armor for 3 points of damage.

Rodimus shrugs off his backpack, and quickly gets back into the grapple.

Ishmael is next...

Initiative order for reference:

Nars
Gorefoot
Rodimus
Ishmael
Fant
Morulas
Persephone
Animated Armors

Morulas tries to pin the western armor for another round. It manages to slip his grip a bit, and while the two are still grappling it is not pinned.

"Lasta lalaithamin, Unguer!

Determined not to loose the guardian again, Morulas puts more pressure on the Armor.

Ooc: grappling, wrestling, pinning, bleeding... business as usual. Lets get em finished guys ;)

[OOC: At this point the party seems to have things well under controll. Does anyone object to speeding things up a bit? If not, some additional furious struggle follows, ending with two hogtied suits of armor lying more or less intact but out of commision...]

I'm also heavily in favor of wraping this up quickly in a narrative way.
This is fight is neither important nor critical enough to play it out round-by-round till the very, very end IMO
(I might be wrong though).

Persephone

Persephone dashes forward to grab Rodimus' backpack. She will extract the rope, muttering, "Ummm lets see here, one time my uncle claudius taught me how to tie a knot. the rabbit follows the...no, no. The fox follows the rabbit into the hole and out the other end and back..."

Once she gets the rope out, she'll approach the grappling monk. She will obey any sensible suggestion as to tying someone up, or just drop down and try to start wrapping the rope around the armor's wrist.

Ishmael frowned at the amount of insignificant dents that he caused. Violet was a mighty hammer, but his foe's steel hide was too much for her. He readied the kite shield on his left hand for defense.

"Allow this knight to deal with thine foe, Lady Fant. The others require thine aid." The halfling braced himself behind his shield, aiming to block, parry or dodge the armor's every blow.

ooc: move action to ready shield. standard action for full defense. AC is now 25.

OOC: I think everyone's actions are pretty much decided. Nars will aid Gorefoot. Ishmael is full defense. Fant is attempting disarms. Gorefoot is swinging away. Rodimus and Morulas are pinning down the one suit. Persephone is attempting to bind it. Morulas could probably help her if she can't bind the armor on her own. I think Patlin could go ahead an play out the last few rounds and rap it up in one post. The end result would be one destroyed armor and one hog tied armor. I think there's a pretty decent chance that the still fighting armor will manage one more hit on one of us, but I don't think we are in enough danger to need to change strategies. Then the characters would also know how much punishment these things can take which could affect our strategy if we encounter more of these in the rest of the tower.

OoC: Yeah, there isn't likely to happen anything that special in this combat anymore, we might just as well wrap things up.

End of Armor Battle

ooc: Consensus seems to be to move on, yes?

Excellent. Persephone, Rodimus and Morulas tie up the western armor over the next few rounds. Ishmael manages to get the armors attention, and fends it off effectively while Nars and Gorefoot pound it into submission. Fant aids in both efforts, organizing and lending a hand where needed.

The party seperates the tied up armor from its Halberd, and a brief inspection shows the disabled armor to be salvageable.
