(Adventure) The Burning Tower (Knight Otu Judging) [Concluded]

After reporting to Fant and Persephone, Ishmael tended to the wounded as ordered. He approached Morulas, seeing the gash upon the elf's side.

"Art thou in need of healing?" He asked politely.

ooc: If the elf answers in the affirmitive, the Halfling takes out his wand of healing and channels a charge of its magick unto the wounded area (1d8+1)

"Art thou in need of healing?" He asked politely.

"Indeed yes, if your versed in the art of healing I'd be grateful."
with a sweeping motion at the room Morulas adds. "I have been searching for some aids or bandages, but the kitchen of Rilithorne the Mage doesn't seem to hold such supplies, I'm afraid."

Feeling relieved after the treatment, Morulas thanks Sir Ishmael once more, before ambling back towards the Study in order to join the others, pausing again for a moment to frown once more on the butler-puppet.

Ishmael smiled modestly. "I am not a healer, though I am glad to help. I am merely someone who has access to curative magicks."

He tucked the wand securely into his belt and awaited further orders.

Persephone

Persephone proceeds to the study, where she sits down in the chair she seems most likely to have been used by someone sitting behind the desk. She tries to guage how long the user's legs would have been. She examines the scrolls and potions laid before her by Ismael. "Thanks cutie!" she says to the halfling with a wink.

She reads the lables to everyone. "I think we should take these. We can give them back if we need to. Can anyone else cast these spells? If not, I'll take the scrolls."

She then stands and approaches Fant. She smiles slyly. "Care to hear my other idea, sister?"

Between the portrait and the chair, Morulas and Persephone would guess the tower's owner to be a human of about average size, probably less than 6' tall.

Ishmael mumbled an abashed "Th-thou art welcome, milady" to Persephone, glad to have been of service.

The Deep Halfling listened to her advice regarding the items but held his tongue. With one of the cantrips he knew, he could probably decipher the scrolls and have a fair chance of using them.

Ishmael spared a glance at his arms and armor then frowned. He would be in the thick of combat when these spells would be needed. Nay, he would let these go to another or to Persephone herself.

If Persephone looked at him questioningly, he would shake his head respectfully to the question she posed. He thought that she would be the safest and in the best position to use these scrolls.

Mentally, he tried to calculate the cost of these scrolls and potions. If they had to use these, the wizard would demand compensation. He was not too happy to use anything without permission, but he believed Lady Fant's own words. Magick was a fickle thing and if the fire atop the tower continued, who knew what would happen?

ooc: removed one charge from the wand

"Hold on to the items," Fant agrees. "If the wizard survives and the tower does not, he will likely be glad we rescued his valuables." And if the wizard does not survive and has no next of kin, possesion will aid in a claim to right of salvage. It is a rather calculating thought, and one she is not entirely comfortable thinking, but the prgamatic Fant cannot help it.

Fant frowns slightly, both mildly flattered and slightly thrown off by the fact the Princess is using such friendly language towards her. She orders the group ahead to the study. "Nars, investigate the door we found in the study. See if it's trapped or if we can open it without smashing it down. Gorefoot, smash it down if required. The rest of you, go with them- her majesty and I will catch up momentarily." She remains with Persephone in the lobby area with the quietly moaning puppet as the other move on ahead.

"Yes, your majesty?"

"Yes, Mi Lady", Nars says and heads into the study. He examines the door, searching for traps. He will try to remove any traps he finds. If he thinks he can open the door without smashing it, he will call, "We, ah, I should be able to open this, er, door." If it is locked by a spell again and the hinges are on the study side, he will try removing them (disable device?) to make it easier to take down the door without causing as much damage. When everyone ready, he will open it.

Persephone

Persephone approaches Fant conspiratorily. "You can call me Percy."

Then she steps back, and suddenly she is no longer Persephone, but the spitting image of the wizard in the picture. "Out of my way," he shouts, in a voice that sounds a little high for a man. "I need to get to the laboratory NOW!"
