(Adventure) The Burning Tower (Knight Otu Judging) [Concluded]

Rodimus gets in through the door, going next to Nars and the first elemental, swinging his staff at the solid air as he moves past.

OoC: Moving so Nars is above Rodimus and elemental 1 right of him, tumbling when moving the square inside its reach. Then attack said elemental with quarterstaff (+3 melee, d6+4)

Gorefoot - Gnome Barbarian 1

With blood dripping from several splinters in his face, Gorefoot bellows as he raises his greatsword high and steps into the room to swing down at the elemental. "You're going to pay for that!"

OOC: If he can, Gorefoot will step diagonally to the right through the doorway so that he and Nars flank. If that's not a 5-ft step, he'll just step straight forward. (power attack for 1, +4 to hit (+6 if flanking), 1d10+6 damage.)

"Humans! This one surely must have been truly afraid of burglers to trap his home like this, no wonder they backfired on him eventually" the elf exclaims, having just entered the study moments before.

Waiting for just the right opening at the Door, Morulas slides forward and brings the newly aquired halberd down on the elemental dervish.

Round 1, Part 2

(Fant goes here.)

Seeing their wounded friend, the party charges in. Rodimus slides into position without allowing any opportunity, and swiftly batters the first elemental out of existance. Gorefoot, deprived of his original target, takes out his frustration on its companion... destroying it in a single awesome blow. Morulas uses the masterwork Halberd for the first time, and find it to be good! With a masterfull blow, the third elemental is dispatched.

Persephone

"Wow. Air creatures, animated armor... what an interesting place. He was paranoid. Perhaps he is guarding something special. Good job, gentlemen. Now let's check out this new room."

The northernmost room on the first level of the tower is the dining room. To the south, stair lead up to the next level. In addition to the door to the southwest, from which the party entered, there is a door to the southeast... almost certainly leading into the kitchen you've allready seen.

A pair of closets bracket the stairs, containing fine china of all sorts as well as silk tablecloths. The owner clearly has expensie tastes.

Looking up the stairwell, you see a familiar shimmering blue field about halfway up. For a moment, you thought you saw something at the top of the stairs, but it moved away before you got a good look. You can all hear a heavy thumping sound from the room above, so you're sure it wasn't your imagination. Something big awaits you on the next level.

Breathlessly, Nars says, "Thankyou all for coming to my aid so quickly. I fear I was a bit over eager again and you all sure pulled my bacon out of the fire. Thankyou again."

"Do not worry yourself Bearded One, Lle ume quel.²"
Morulas answers absentmindedly while eyeing the ceiling suspiciously.
"We all were trapped in here, only wanting to aid the city watch. If we achieve nothing else this day, to see that no additional harm comes to anyone from this should be the first thing on all our minds."

While the rest of the group examines the dining room (assuming they do), Morulas will keep and eye and an ear out for the thing on the next floor, studying its pacing and trying to get another glimpse.
Anything really to get a bit of info on the thing.
Magical Beasts happen to be Morulas favored enemy and personal field of expertise - incase that helps here.

The battle concluded, Ishmael let the divination dissipate. Persephone's answers failed to sate his curiosity, sharpening it instead. "Dragon blood? What dost thou mean by that? I've always been a Halfling!" The last words were spoken beyond his normally respectful tone.

To those who knew how to read the emotions of others, the Halfling appeared disturbed by this new piece of information.

He followed the group dumbly, staying near Persephone as a guard and as a student. When he heard the steps upstairs, he wondered if someone had went ahead of them... or if it was the wizard himself. In his readings, he had heard of "quirky" wizards...

The pounding comes to a stop. Whatever it was, it sounded very dense, and perhaps a bit metalic. Morulas can't think of any magical beast it particularly resembles.

You can't help but notice Nars' severe wounds. Even to the jaundiced eyes of fellow adventurers, they look severe to the point of being worisome.
