(Adventure) The Burning Tower (Knight Otu Judging) [Concluded]

Given the elven folks love for magic and the arcane, Morulas is easily as intriqued by Rilithornes writing and wizardly lore as the sorceress would be. Having no intent at the moment to 'save' anything for the towers missing inhabitant, he unscrupulously searches the library and the parephenalia room.

"Hmmm...Are we in a big hurry? I love libraries."

'We should at least look for possible leads that tell us what and why the tower went ablaze this night. A journal or diary of Rilithornes experiements would be very helpful.'

Ooc:

Library: [Search + 6 / Spot +5]

Alchemy Room: [Search +6 / Spot + 5]

Fant orders the group three abreast at the doorway- Herself, Nars, and Gorefoot in the front line, Ishmael, Rodimus, and Mourlas in the second, and Persephone bringing up the near. She gives Mourlas the go-ahead to open the door.

Pls, the name is Morulas, not Mourlas. It's not that difficult, really!

Nars doesn't have any problem picking the locks. The locked drawers in the alchemy room seem to be the location that the tower's owner stores his more expensive material components. WHile some are empty at the moment, some contain items of value.

You find:

Two baggies of gold dust labeled "Arcane Lock" worth 25 gp each.
One baggie of ruby dust labeled "Continual Flame" worth 50 gp.
One baggie of diamond dust labeled "Stoneskin" worth 250 gp.

(
Seems ok so far. I guess they'll return a few of the things. I'm ok with the CR 2 for the trap. Don't forget the time spent adventuring reward (currently 50 XP).)

Ishmael followed Fant's commands, searching the place for any valuables or items of magick. If he finds any, he does not pocket them but surrenders them instead to Fant or Persephone.

Using his racial lore with worked stone, he examined the area for any unusual stonework. (search +1, +3 with stonecunning)

Rodimus does a quick look-through of the bedroom, expecting the wizard to hide something there. Done with that, he just follows on the heels of whoever happens to be close by when he finishes.

OoC: Search +0, Spot +2

Gorefoot - Gnome Barbarian 1

Gorefoot follows Persephone into the library. He leans up against a wall to relax and keep an eye on her.

My bad. :o This is the second time you've had to tell me, too. :\

IC:

Fant aids in the search, nodding in satisfaction at Nar's find. "Most interesting," she murmurs, and puts the pouches in her backpack. She heads of to the library and then the storage room, trying to find some sort of record of the experiments.

"All right," says Fant. Let's get moving. After she organizes the group in the same order as before, she has them pause for a moment, seeing if they can hear another surprise waiting for them at the stop of the stairs. Assuming they get no hints, they proceed.
