[Adventure] The Cannith Caper (Judge: THB)

The group consensus seems to be to rest. Are you going to rest here? Any precautions, watch order, etc? What are you doing with the bugbear? [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]If it isn't a lot of trouble, can we see the "big map" again for the whole place? If it's a pain don't worry about it.

My suggestion is to stay in a place that blocks entrance/exit to the whole forge. More risk of attack but more certainty that no one gets away. Also, that way we could put the bugbear on the outside and then not worry that he's gone to warn anyone (assuming he doesn't know of any alternate entrances - which I guess we may as well ask him that).[/sblock]

Here it is. You came in through the left, the caverns with the hobbos was there. First room there was the arcane trap and warforged prototypes. You are currently in the room with all the red X's. The hallway to the south has a hobbo and gobbo body, the storage had a bag of holding for Varis. The room with the symbol of Cannith was where the party met Haestus d'Canntih, an undead something, who then reanimated the trap in the room, along with a bone wyrm and tomb mote swarms. A living quarter was there as well.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Thanks r1! So I guess I'd suggest the room to the south of where we are now? The entrance from the cavern area?[/sblock]

"How close are we to your master? Is there guard rooms near him or just him and his hirelings?"

The half-orc wipes the blood off his armor from carving up the bugbear. "Let's move on. I haven't even started yet." Seeing the halfling and his mount come limping into the room, Varak shakes his head. "What is your employer planning, are they coming out soon you think?"

"Hmmm, they've been in there a couple days, not sure what the boss-lady's doing, I ain't hired for much besides keeping trouble like you from interrupting. How far are we? Ain't sure about that neither, I ain't never gone further than this room, traps and all. I wasn't paid fer anything else, so a smart merc knows you only do what you get paid for." the bugbear replies.

[sblock=ooc]Because the room south of us is a choke point. In that room, we'd know if anyone came or left (like the bugbear). In our current room, we could get surrounded and never know it.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]But the room south has three entrances, two leading to unexplored areas. And the other IS a choke-point. It is much more likely that our rest will be disturbed.[/sblock]
