[sblock=OOC]Don't place the Bravado Warlord in a position where he has a choice between charging in and not charging in. Charging in wins every time.[/sblock]

[sblock=Dangit r1!] Now you've gone and got me all paranoid...twice. If I go after the charging bravado warlord...(which you seem like the idea of), the badguys could appear next to all my allies. If I stay back, the warlord is facing no less than 2 badguys by himself... argghhh!! I hate quandries like this!! [/sblock]

Seeing the halfling charge towards the enemy in the back of the cave, Vistrathis carefully moves forward, shouting a warning to his companion.

"Wait! This is the perfect setup for a trap!"

Not willing to fall into the trap, himself, Vistrathis draws his blade and begins to recite the words to a spell, drawing upon the energies of arcane thunder. Keeping an eye out for an ambush, Vistrathis was ready for any trouble that might appear.

[sblock=Actions]
- Move: Move to BW-14
- Minor: Draw blade.
- Standard: Ready Booming Blade against the first enemy who enters a square adjacent to Vistrathis. (url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2453865/]28[/url] vs AC for 16 damage and if the target is adjacent to Vistrathis at the start of its next turn and moves away during that turn, it takes 1d6+4 thunder damage. If the target attacks Vistrathis before the start of Vistrathis' next turn, it takes another 5 damage.)

Riding forward, all can be heard form Haltor is a loud The best way to foil a trap is to spring it! This Haltor seemed very different from the knowledgeable halfling from the journey. This Haltor, whoever he was, was mad.

Taking but the briefest moments to slap his hunt-mask over his face, Haltor whoops a Talenta battle cry and whips White Eye into a flurry. They dash forward, heedless of danger, the feathers on his sharrash streaming behind him.

Alex reaches into a pocket in his clothes and pulls out an orb that swirls with arcane energy. He steps to the side to get a clearer view of the cavern and sees Haltor rush in. "Wait..." Alex warns, but its too late. The young mage moves into the mouth of the cavern and prepares to launch psychic energy at anyone that gets close to the halfling.

Haltor's plan seems to work as a multitude of hobgoblin's appear from behind the boulders, even the one that Haltor's in front of!

As one rounds the corner, Alex's mental blast slams into the hobgoblin, dropping the foe.

The rest swarm at Haltor, two of them drawing minor wounds on the halfling warrior, but he manages to deflect one. Another appears from behind a rock and fires an arrow at Alex, getting retribution for his fallen ally.

The scimitar wielders and glaive wielder move into a more advantageous position.

[sblock=Monster Actions]

These are called Blood Rocks, they can conjure feelings of great battlelust in someone standing on them.

ooc - game terms, you crit on 19 or 20 while on them (the green splotches. Good job Wotc, way to have your maps match the description ;)) [/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
On the map s hobbo is scimitar, g hobbo is glaive-wielder. So funny story, I rolled their hide checks and got a 1 and a 2.... Apologies for the map, it's hard because they're pretty far away.

Harressh rushes forward, his body glowing with heat and light. He extends the tip of his staff and makes a circular motion. A cascade of red-hot stones appears in the air above the hobgoblins menacing Haltor, lashing down to batter them. One of the goblinoid avoids the worst of it, but the other's skull is crushed by a boulder-sized stone that strikes it square in the forehead.

[sblock=Actions]Move: To BY15 (or BY14 if that spot is blocked)
Standard: Blazing Starfall @ BO16 Blazing Starfall vs ls87, ls61 (1d20+8=28, 1d20+8=10, 1d4+11=15) Crit! And a miss. But these are minions right? If not there's an extra 1d10 damage on the crit.

(Blazing Starfall creates a zone bounded by burning ground that lasts until the end of Harressh's next turn. Whenever an enemy leaves it, that enemy takes 4 fire damage.)[/sblock]

Varak sees the hobgoblin's though a bit later than expected. He had seen a few goblinoids in Sharn, but the half-orc was more familiar with the orcs tribes in The Wastes. These two should go down quickly.

The half-orc curses as other oppopents reveal themselves, they were better than what he thought they were. The half-orc moves forward, and then rushes the opponent that flanked the halfling and his mount. The half-orc unleashes hell with his blade, cutting at one of his opponents.
