ooc: First attack's a miss, second hits.
[Adventure]The Eye of the Tiger(Judge: ???)
Round 7
Finally free from the tag team holds of the ants, the juggernaut of Rohna and Olaf shrug off most of the rapidly diminishing acid cloud as they back 10ft away with a grind steel plates sliding over each other. Charging forward with the wump of Kordestad whirling overhead, Rohna brings the ant-icor covered hammer down squarely onto her majesty's head as Olaf's steel encased tusks lance up into the bottom of its carapace, ripping the queen to the ground at Olaf's massive hooves as he tears the giant teeth out of the shell.
Rohna makes sure that the Dire boar doesn't shove the bloated ant outside of her deadly reach. She casts a skyward glance to the ants that seem to be able to avoid her furious rain of steel. The acid finally stops dripping off the protective aura surrounding Olaf.

"DolArrah, lend your servant vitality to serve for another day. Grant me insight to overcome this obstacle on our path. Mark the enemy clearly for all to see your glory."
He motions toward the fliers and one above Rhona bursts into holy light.
"Hit it if you can, the light will soothe your wounds." Rhona hears Ven's voice clearly, without the noise of the battle

While the ants could dart in and out of melee/RoS range, I'm not having them do that. First of all, they aren't too bright, and they normally don't need to rely on such tactics. Second, and more important, if you still had six people in your party, I'd certainly be making the best possible use of their mobility. But killing these things is taking long enough without me making it so only your leaders can hurt them. So they're hovering close enough to the ground that they can be targeted in melee, and they aren't hitting-and-running as optimally as they should.
Besides, I have plenty of other encounters in which to be mean. No reason to burn out on the first one.
Regarding getting someone over from Sharn to your location on short notice, anything is possible with the power of non-linear story-telling. The hard part will probably be getting a striker.[/sblock]
The queen flails frantically at Rohna, but the severity of its injuries prevent it from connecting. The surviving drones swarm Olaf in an attempt to protect their queen, but the boar's incredible toughness protects it from the worst the insects have to offer.
Naturally, the river creature is completely incapable of penetrating Thalen's defenses.

The drones swarm Olaf, Drone 1 hits for no damage, Drone 2 hits for 2 damage, Drone 3 hits for no damage, Drone 4 misses. Good job drones.
The crayfish moves to P13 and attacks Thalen, but clearly the rubber bands are back on. Can Doggie make OAs? If so he gets to roll one.

Tondrek scratches his head at Sword Lady's request. Hadn't he been helping all along? Little Big Girl was not hurty much. The only big bolt he had left was acidy, like the bugs themselves. Then he gets an idea and plays around with a clockwork construct hanging from his belt. He quickly infuses it with some magic before it hops off. It climbs throught he jungle and then jumps on Rhona. It sits on her armor and begins to glow with a green, protective light at the center of her armor, seeming to reinforce it.

The queen ant finally falls to Rohna's onslaught. Ichor oozes out from crushed chitin onto the ground. Immediately the flying drones dart up into the air and away through the trees.
Meanwhile, in the river, Thalen's foe also decides to seek prey less capable of defending itself. It slips into the freezing water and swims away, leaving the adventurers alone on the riverbank in a rapidly dispersing acidic cloud.
