Standing opposite from Scun, Ogrin strikes twice with his blades into the creature. "Yield, Golgol, and you may yet survive the day!"

It took a second try to get past Golgol (Tumble1: 16+5= 21, Tumble2: 20+5= 25).

ooc: It took a double move to get past Golgol so no attack this round. Rillian is in J3

Flanking with Ogrin against the Mephit, Scun threw yet another solid blow. (Attack: 9 +5 +2 =16). A horrid crack resounded across the halls as the half-orc poured his strength into the strike (Damage: 3+5 =8)

Nezrak missed, his blade clanging off of the stone floor (Attack: 4 +1= 7). Golgol stumbling about actually helped the Mephit that time.

ooc: 2 Rounds of stunning left

Both of Ogrin's blades tasted Mephit blood. Whilst his rapier was stained along half its length, (Attack1: 16 +1 +2 +2 =21, Damage: 2 +3 +2 -5= 2). The Halfling's dagger dug clean through until stony skin touched its hilt. (Attack2: 20 +1 +2 +2 =25, Threat: 20 +1 +2 +2 =25, Damage: 2 +1 +1 +1 +6 -5 =6).

It appeared to Ogrin that Golgol was unable to answer. The wizard's lights did much more to it than blind him. The Mephit was almost unable to take any actions.

Mona invoked divine power unto herself. The cuts and bruises from Golgol's deadly spray were washed away by Hyrag's power.

Golgol continued to stumble blindly about whilst blows rained upon him from all directions. A few seconds earlier, the air was filled with his foe's cries of pain. Now, he could do nothing but cry out his own anguish. His mind could do nothing else.

This Mephit looked beaten.

05 Mona
04 Golgol (27 damage)

Rasereit screams in pained rage at his adversary. The echoes of his mighty warcry resound throughout the subterranean labyrinth. He raises his axes high above his head for the killing blow. Then, suddenly, he stops his blood curdling scream, drops his weapons, and again pounces on Golgol, with the intention of knocking the monster to the ground. "Scum doesn't deserve t'die... like that..." Razh mutters under his breath.

Rasereit brought Golgol down with little resistance from the Mephit. But he found that the tackle did not hurt it at all (Non-lethal Damage: 1 +3 -5 =0).

The dwarf was now grappling the Mephit.

Rillian then Scun then Nezrak then Ogrin

"He don't deserve t'live, but he don't deserve t'die either! Now, ye bloody scum o' the earth, calm down! Ye're beat!" Razh angrily negotiates with the mephit as he beats him into submission.

Scun's blow struck Golgol square in the head, amidst its many bruises and dents (Attack: 8 +5 +2 =15). Orc strength and magicked wood caved in the Mephit's skull, spilling its brains all over the immediate area. (Damage: 5 +5 =10)

Golgol fell limp in Rasereit's hands, its head smashed in. Its arms fell away from its face, unveiling the Mephit's death mask: a look of fear and shock.

"I guess the term 'dirt nap' is more appropriate now than ever!" says a grinning Ogrin. Seeing none of the others smile he continues, "Hrrm. Well. I don't know about you, but it certainly seems dryer on this floor.. Should we look for a place to make camp?" Ogrin does an ocular search of the room he's in, trying to guess if this is where Golgol lived, if so where he would hide his "shinies".

Noticing Rasereits face sprayed with Golgols brain matter, Ogrin comes to think of several fun jokes, but resists the urge to tell them to the volatile dwarf. He instead turns to his kinswoman, the paladin.

"Mona, you said this was an earth mephit? Would the two cretures above have been water mephits or some other kinds of water elementals? I have a terrble feeling we're going to see more of these elemental types, meaning fire and air if they're having the full house here.

Then of course that creature, "
Ogrin indicates Golgols battered body, "mentioned something about 'crawlies'. That could be lizards or snakes or beetles or just about anything. Perhaps we should rest a while while preparing for what's ahead? At least here it's drier than the level above."
