[Adventure] The Paper Chase, Part 2 (Judge: renau1g)

Orsik is healing. I still think we should drop few trees to make lines of access we can control. If we're making changes, whoever looks will see it so more obvious changes play no role.

"O'lright! Let's chop some trees 'en!" says Muzdum, shaking a fist in the air, as he sprints out of the tent, grabs a woodaxe (his own won't do it against a tree) and off he goes to cut down the nearest tree.

OOC: I'll get a map up of how should the defenses look like once (if) we are done with the preparations. I don't have my mose right now so it's a pain in the ass to do it with the pad.

OOC: Skill Challenge is cool with me. My best (relevant) skills are Perception and Heal - Unless someone can think of a way to use religion here.

I could either stand guard over the site and keep my eye out for watchers, or I could help healing the injured men.

The group sets out to prepare for the nightfall...

OK, let's do it up. Skill Challenge. Complexity 2 (requires 6 successes before 3 failures). Level 5 (Easy:10 Moderate:15 Hard:22). Anything you can justify I'll consider. Note that some will be support checks (like say Perception, help find a strong tree or something) rather than full checks.

Current Status :0/6 Success; 0/3 Failures [/sblock]

kal'Tarron moves to the tent where the injured workers wait. "Let us see if any of you can be patched up. We will need every hand we can get tonight, and to prep the defences now."

OOC: Heal Check +11, Rolled twice by accident. I think the bottom one is the first one.

Mythra uses his keen eyesight to see what the others are doing wrong, and give orders to correct the mistakes. These fools have no idea what they are doing, he thinks to himself, after he finds someone chopping a tree with the notch in it pointed towards the woodsman.

"So, you want me to raise to the men's moral?" Alexia sighs, "Very well. But first I will tend to the dead." She somberly walks towards the pile of corpses, pulling her lute from her back as she does. "We don't have time for a fitting burial, but perhaps this will do for now," she murmurs, mostly to herself. She then begins to play a dirge for the fallen. The song is mournful and a little haunting, but some may find the message, that death is not as final as it is often portrayed, comforting in this trying time.

[sblock=There is no Perform skill in 4e]I got a 21 Diplomacy. I figure Diplomacy is the appropriate skill since I'm trying to indirectly inspire, or perhaps more accurately calm, the workers. If Bluff is more fitting, it's still a 21.[/sblock]

After putting a large barrel into Mythra's surprised arms "Here Lazy, put this over with those others.", Grys grabs an empty barrel and moves to the stream to start getting water. He has Keke fly invisible overhead as he heads to the stream in order to get a better perspective on any possible lurkers.
