[sblock=Garrick] Yaknow... to be quite honest... I wasn't so sure how well a "melee" warlock was going to do. I would like to thank you for showing me just how awesomely possible this is. Eldritch strike has proved to be a very awesome power if only because it is considered to be a basic attack, which means you can use it with EVERYTHING!!!

Anywho... thanks for posting so quickly! [/sblock]

Round 4

Feeling quite trapped, the Messenger squeals with hatred and lashes out at his foes with whipping tentacles. One tentacle flies towards Grryth as the shifter nears, the other two seek the flesh of Gurdan who has taken most of the attention of the Messenger. A another lash leaves it's mark on Gyyrth's chest, leaving a nice red welt next to the black slash from the messenger's earlier attack. Gurdan takes a nasty hit directly on the forehead which whips his head back, causing a second tentacle to barely miss. Ignoring the fact that it could get hit, it moves over to the wall and crawls upward to get out of the reach of his foes. He needed to try to get back to that main shaft or he was done for!

[sblock=Actions]
-Free: When Grryth steps adjacent to it, the messenger takes a swipe and hits for 6 damage.
- Standard: Takes two swipes at Gurdan; the first crits for 11 damage but the second one misses.
- Move: Moves from J10 to K11 and then moves upward two squares and onto the ceiling above square K11. This provokes Opportunity Attacks from Gurdan, Grryth, and Garrick.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Opportunity Attacks] Gurdan, Grryth, and Garrick: Feel free to make your opportunity attacks as part of your normal actions or roll them before hand, which ever is easier for you guys. [/sblock]

"Get out 'cher boots, fellas!" Gurdan exclaims unnecessarily. "This one's going up!" He manages a quick swipe at the thing, but his dwarven reflexes prove far too slow - this time (OOC: opp attack misses)

Alexia rushes across the room into a more advantageous position. Her eyes momentarily flash red as she attempts a simple charm, but the messenger's peculiar nature may once more protect it.

[sblock=Round 4 Actions]Move: Move to F11
Standard: Cutting Words against the messenger. Hits Will 17 for 10 damage. If that misses, I use an Action Point to repeat the attack, which would also miss. [Expletive deleted], I hope that first one hit. If it does, I pull the messenger two squares to I12 and on the ground.[/sblock]
