[sblock=occ]Since it isn't slowing down I then vote on getting all civilians into car three, detacing it then flying away before it goes boom :)

That or THB's plan sounds good, although Masumi has allready used her seccond wind.[/sblock]

So, Lo-Kag takes care of skill check 3 once Gurdan comes to our cabin to work on skill checks 1 and 2? Lo-kag gets a chance to try to put out the fire before Gurdan gets here. Correct? Lot's of people in cabin 3 for Lo-Kag to intimidate.

Lo-Kag is in the best position to work on #3 in this round, but after that Gurdan should handle it, since it will take a while for the dwarf to get to our cabin. I suspect it will not go well for us from a "save the other passengers" standpoint if you bully them into a burning cabin, but maybe Lo-Kag's ok with that. Alexia's attention will be fully occupied by the events in our cabin.

That's a very good idea. Would that work?

Lo-Kag still has an inspiring word I think.[/sblock]

[sblock=Yeah]
Detaching the third car is a nice idea if we are desperate. We can all bail from the train that way if need be. I'm sure we can motivate the civilians to help us if their lives are on the line! :)

FYI Gurdan still has has his daily Healing Word available if needed.

Ya detaching any cars that were not on fire was what I had in mind when I asked for more clarifications as to what was and was not burning. Getting all the passengers into the last car and uncoupling it would give us a victory on skill challenge 3. As for skill challange 2, I agree that putting out the fire (and the ongoing damage) is a top priority. I think that the arcane and diplomatic should continue working on the engine.

Alexia: I fully believe in using Aid-Another a post-cursor to these skill challenges. Player 1 attempts something; Player 2 sees that Player 1 is struggling and gives him/her a hand. Skill is now a success or still a failure, simple enough and not abusive in my eyes.

Magical Fire Extinguisher: It might exist...but first... someone would need to find such a thing.

Detaching The Rear Cabin: This is a very creative and awesome idea if not for 1 thing:

Remember in the beginning of this fight when Tracker mentioned that something was going to happen in a few days? If you guys wanna stop that, you guys don't have time to go back to Sharn on foot, get on another lightning rail (or other mode of transportation), and make it to Daskaran to stop these thieves.

But as a last ditch survival idea. Spectacular! [/sblock]
[sblock=THB ONLY] [sblock=No, REALLY, THB ONLY] [sblock=Sorry THB, Last Time...]This is going to sound really bad... and would give you a really bad rep to any survivors (and possibly cause a Sharn-wide...possibly Breland-wide rumor about Alexia), but in the worst case scenario, and survival is on the line... remember, Alexia is part VAMP, and as such, she could grab one of the passengers and suck the life outta them to use a healing surge! Not nice, but effective! lol [/sblock][/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Detaching the Cabin]
Well It was my thought that we would detach the 3rd cabin with us staying on the burning train. That way if we fail we do not also have the burden of a bunch of civilian deaths on our hands. Of course we would keep the conductor up there with us to drive the train once we put out the fire, and he could back the thing up and re-attach to the 3rd cabin.

Or if we do fail, there should be the remaining elemental carts there. Only Tracker got away, so the carts and the defeated bandits are all stil there. We could always use those if it came to it to get to Daskaran. Obviously Tracker and the other Bandits came from there and tracker is going back there, so they should have the range to make it there.

Anyone else have any ideas?

OOC: THB, I was thinking more along the lines of getting the people in cabin three to get up off their arses and help put out the fire by hitting the fire with there expensive coats. This is the cabin containing the nobels...correct?

OOC: we got to start something.

Lo-kag rushes to cabin 3. He spots passengers with coats and yells. "If you want to live through this, take your off your garmets and start beating down the flames...NOW!"

OOC: Intimidation check: skill challenge 3: 1d20+14= 32

Masumi will try to use her knoledge of the Arcane to find something useful to putting out the fire in cabin 1. while doing so she will try to end closer to the carts than when she started.

Actions:
5 fire damage (What is her hp at?)
Standard action Arcana check (Please oh god!) 1d20+11=16 (so close!)
Possable move action, move to carts if under 5 hp
