[sblock=Horned Turtle and Judges] I am not familiar with any item or rule that allows you to use an action point to deal extra damage. I'll be happy to give you the extra damage if such a rule exists (or you have an item/feature that allows this), but I cannot find anything in the PHB/DMG or your Character Sheet that says this is a possibility. Judges/H.T., am I missing something? [/sblock]

[sblock=Also...] I have completely forgotten to have Tracker roll his saves for Curse of the Dark Dream, so being that it has been my fault, and not yours, I'm going to rule that he just failed those saves. Thanks for the reminder though! [/sblock]

[sblock=Tracker's Save vs Falling]

Trackers' save against falling, triggered by Masumi's Curse of the Dark Dream. (1d20+4=23) Sorry, H.T. but he saves again... IC just doesn't like you guys pushing them over the edge for some reason... [/sblock]

Any Warlord around?

Lo-kag
Resourceful Presence
When an alley spends an action point to perform an attack, if it is a hit: +7 additional damage to the attack; miss: +7 temp hp added to the attacker.

[sblock=R1/H.T.] Oh yeah, I forgot about that, but that would only apply if the character spent an action point to make an attack. In this case, H.T. is trying to spend the action point to GET extra damage on the attack already made.

If this was what you are thinking of, H.T. Feel free to make a second attack roll for another eldritch blast or whatever, and add +7 damage to the end of that for Lo-Kag's Warlord bonus (an insane bonus if you ask me...)[/sblock]

[sblock=bonus]
It's pretty good, but I prefer Taclord's bonus to hit myself... *go-go Ranger Supernova ;)**[/sblock]

[sblock=extra damage]
H.T. could spend the action point to curse the target, Prior to the attack thus dealing curse damage on the attack that was rolled...

I'll have her do a second attack at his cart's engine then
Eldrich blast number two 1d20+8=13 if a hit 1d10+13=19 if a miss 7 temp hitpoints.

Occ:I just wasn't sure what all a action point could be used for.

[sblock=OOC] No prob H.T. I have listed below the DnDi entry for Action Points:

DnDi said:
SPEND AN ACTION POINT: FREE ACTION

During your turn: You can spend an action point only during your turn, but never during a surprise round.

Gain an extra action: You gain an extra action this turn. You decide if the action is a standard action, a move action, or a minor action.

Once per encounter: After you spend an action point, you must take a short rest before you can spend another. Some monsters can spend more than 1 action point per encounter.

Both of your attacks were a hit (Reflex 4 is not hard to hit, lol, and you dish out a total of 23 damage to the cart. [/sblock]

Masumi sends a flurry of arcane energy at Tracker's elemental cart, but its construction is solid enough to withstand the blasts. Tracker scowls at the young deva as splinters of wood fly into the air around him.

"You're next, cupcake!"

[sblock=DMdanW] LOL! That would be silly for her to spend an action point to curse the cart. Why spend an action point to deal an extra 1d6 damage, when you can attack again and gain that attacks damage PLUS 7 more? [/sblock]

[sblock=Kal]
Yes it would be a waste of the action point, but I believe the question was 'how to get extra damage by spending an action point without attacking', and that is a way of doing it. Didn't say it was a good way, but it is a possiblity.
