(Adventure) To Delmon's Aid (Creamsteak Judging)

Velbrik
"I'd like the magical cloak, if you're all of a mind to allow it."

Troi shrugs. "Sounds like it's between you an' Thurgan, then. I don't have a problem with it either way, so... whatever."

Velbrik
"...I must consider if our friends might use some aid. The monastery is a good bit of travel away, and I couldn't help but ask if you are versed in travel magic? Perhaps, even a teleport spell?"

Troi nods. "That sounds like a good idea ta me. If they're in any kinda problem at th' moment, us showin' up'd be good. Even if they're not, that cuts down on th' time it takes for us ta regroup and trade info."

Velbrik
"Though if there is no way to reach them in expediency, I would like to speak with you for a bit. You are a scholar of the obscure and arcane in an addition to a practitioner of it, are you not?"

"Hmm..." Troi muses, resting his chin on his hand. "Y'know, I'd like ta speak ta ya, as well, once yer done with Velbrik, if ya have th' time. I'm lookin' fer somethin', an' ya might have an idea as ta where I could maybe find an answer."

OoC: Total XP so far is 810 per PC.

So far I have (for desired rewards)

Felix: Bag of Tricks?
Thurgan: Cloak of Protection +1
Thale 25 +1 Crossbow Bolts
Troi +1 Chainmail
Velbrik Cloak of Protection +1

Thurgan and velbrik need to decide who gets the Cloak. I rather thought Velbrik might want the spellbook, but the Bag is interesting as well...

IC: Delmon looks to the window nearest his chair, where the Storm has intensified outside again. 'Well, as I see it, your friends at the Monestary might need a bit of help. I do not currently have the power to use a teleportation, young Velbrik, but I think i have something that will serve fine in it's absense. I ahve a way to get you folks there in a matter of a few hours, I think. For now, however, I need rest, as do a few of you, no doubt, as you have been taxed overcoming my Automatons, as well as that Zombie and my Elemental, though I'm glad you didn't destroy it, as those things are difficult to get trained properly, and that one has finally mastered the art of simmering, where it's predecessor kept burning everything. There is space for you all in the chambers below, I would think, after a bit of reorganization. I will have my Servants see to that, as well as making sure that the room is warm, and the doors secured once more.'

OoC: Go ahead and assume that you have a nights rest, for those with spells.
Though you have no compulsion to continnue, I have it (OK, I had it in mind the entire time) timed for you to enter the Monestary adventure...which would make 11 PCs...:D In two groups, of course.

OOC for a bit
I can't use the spellbook, except as scrolls; so I was leaving it to Felix. Though, now that you mention it, a pile of scrolls would be more useful to me than +1 AC. But I'll wait to see what Felix wants first before I choose something else, since he can put them in his spellbook and make unlimited use of them (except for limited spells per day, of course).

This will be interesting...

Sorry, I meant that comment directed at Felix, not Velbrik. :D

OOC: Uriel, is it possible to just have an agreement with Delmon to magic something in the future. My goal eventually is to own a smithy and craft fine and magical items. And this would be a start. Otherwise, we can just dice for right to the cloak and the loser choose something else.

Um... the item I was getting is a chain shirt, not chainmail, right?

OoC:Sorry, chain shirt. Nobody likes chainmail, an extra +1 AC and a whole lot of headaches in movement negs and skill penalties. :D

'And what do we have for our Intrepid Hero, Wilbur!?!
(Wilbur the Smoke mephit unveils prize)
'Yes, it's a +3 Tower Shield for our Gnomish Knight, wow, what a great one that is!!!'

Ahem...

OoC: Well, I was sort of wanting to give you foks a bit of an edge, and the treasures are all around 1,000GP, or slightly less. I think this may be ok with Thurgan, as (as a MW item) ,it doesn't hinder his sneaky skills.Delmon will talk about a business arangment/help anyways, as he is very grateful to you folks.

IC: Delmon sees that two of the Companions are wanting the same thing as he moves over to a shelf, lifting a very plain but sturdily made buckler from where it had been a book-end.'Well, friend Dwarf, this may serve you better than it did me, perhaps this would do?'

OoC:+1 Buckler

Thurgan inspected the buckler, noting the construction and braces, though for a moment and nodded, "That it will . . . m'thanks ta ya, Delmon, though I'da helped just ta help a fella dwarf. Smithin' is what I'm really good at."

OOC: Thanks for being flexible, Keia. It looks like all we need to do is wait for Arken to pick something and we're off to the Monastery.
